Vox Raids?

So as i approach level 52 Id like to knock out the dragons i cant do above said level. The problem I've run into is that as far as i can tell, there isn't a pick up raid or rotation for these mobs. I know there is a rotation listed below;

but does this really happen? Do people get level 52 and below together to take these guys down and if so, have room for a bard looking for scales for the epic?

bard scales are worth ~100k and trak guts are worth 3x as much. Best bet would be to wait until it's an R vox and hang out around there if you want the "experience". Bards are always needed in raid guilds, and it can be a way to see if your style meshes with theirs.

People wait hours for Vox and Nagafen and send a Gmail or twitter notification to the rest of their guild and it is engaged and killed within minutes.

Best bet is to join class R or hang out in either zone during the length of the window and hope you can tag along.

Phinny can be killed with lvl 60's. Vox and Naggy banish players who are over lvl 52 and draw aggro.

About 8-9 of the bigger guilds on this server have level 52 alts with which they kill Naggy/Vox. The Class C/FFA spawns (2/3) will spawn, and die within 5 minutes. The Class R ones will spawn and die within an hour or two.

No guild will let you come and roll on scales. If you want the scales as a bard, either buy them or join a guild and raid with them for 6+ months, and be a useful member to their raid force, and then you may be in contention for the Trakanon Guts (most guilds bank the scales and give bards the two scales when they win the Trakanon Guts).

The scales can command a price of 50-75k, and the Trakanon Guts 250-300k. Because of this, guilds will always loot and sell them, never giving them away for free.

You will not even get into a XP group let alone loot anything. You will be up on a hill waving to the others as they go at it for 30 seconds. You MIGHT, don't hold your breath, get what you need in Fear for your Shaman epic but.. :o

And i was thinking i was going to main tank Lady vox or Nagafen with my 55+ paladin

why in the hell no one don't say nothing about that in ooc in raid guild on forums etc?

even in the raid list is shows that you don't have a level requirement except for Planar 46+ to zone in.

so lvl 60ies can raid them- they just cant touch the dragon

But really, yes. You will need level 52s to engage/kill Vox and Naggy. 60s can help clear the trash leading up to dragon.

Just to give perspective, there's bards who've raided (not just played) for months and months who still don't have their epic. Trakanon guts are rare.

This gets eased somewhat several months into Velious when epic-only versions of contested raid mobs like Trakanon become available.
