The rules are as followed.

Call for your port between 8:30 and 9 , They are free.

Say you are participating in the Bum fights and need a pickup.

Please be at a ring or spire so as to speed things along.

When your porter arrives tell him you are ready to roll he will acknowledge and

/rand 100

If you roll a perfect 100 you will be rewarded 200p

P99 BUMFIGHTS LEVEL 1 BOXING TOURNAMENT

GENERAL RULES

1. Level 1
2. You must be as drunk as possible (we will hand out booze before you fight)
3. No weapons / items / potions
4. No armor
5. No buffs or outside assistance
6. No otherwise unspecified cheating
7. Single elimination tournament
8. Prize for most consecutive wins
9. Prize for last-bum-standing
10. All participants MUST HAVE FUN

Details

Fighters who wish to participate should gather around the Bumfights ring (in the back of the EC Tunnel, near Shady) before 9PM Eastern tonight. We will /ran 100 to determine the combatants of the matches.

The winner of each fight will "keep the ring" and face new challengers until they are defeated. If you get knocked out of the tournament, you are done and the ring belongs to the winner until they lose.

Prizes will be awarded to the contestant who keeps the ring the longest (largest winning streak), as well as the last-bum-standing.

If a fight is deemed to be "dragging" a random weapon will be dropped on the ground by the officiant of the fight to help inspire larger degrees of violence.

If you wish to fight your main in a featured match, please send me a PM on the forums TODAY and let me know your toon name, level, class, and race.

Complimentary ports will be provided by participating Dial-a-Port druids and wizards from all rings and spires between 8 and 9PM in case you want to roll an ogre or iksar or something else from a faraway land.

If you cheat and we find out, you will be EXECUTED on the spot in front of everybody for maximum entertainment value.

I asked for the other thread to be locked.

That other thread has the wrong venue (I changed the fight location to EC Tunnel last week), but since we can't EDIT our posts anymore (even EC Tunnel posts) (http://www.project1999.com/forums/showthread.php?t=189775) due to the recent [stupid] changes on the forums, I had to make a new thread. I didn't want someone to reply to the other one, though, and then have two threads with conflicting info and have people confused showing up in Qeynos.

I made a SK (stupidly) and didn't start with a weapon... hard versus a monk but Bumorgy fought well and was the Bum of Bums for the early part of the event <3

Congratulations to BUMGAGGAR and HARLOTS, dual-holders of the KING OF THE RING TITLE! We will need to settle this on the next bumfights!

Congratulations to SIRKENSBUM for winning the LAST BUM STANDING battle royale!! SIRKENSBUM was the proud winner of 50 copper pieces and a rat ear sandwich!!

I heard there was even a sighting of the newest branch of Nomsanto Industries selling booze before the matches! Look for him in the tunnel whenever you're thirsty for something with a bite! He's Bartender <Nomsanto Industries> and he's Nomsanto Industries resident brewmaster!

I had a lot of fun, even if I did have some advantages. Much like Bumgaggar I did some training of skills before fight, and had the iksar added advantage.

As Sirkensbum I had the following skills:

Was watching/listening to the stream, I thought Bumgaggar was a typical rep of P99 blue. Bent every rule for an advantage. Refused Sirken's weapons because it would put him over his weight limit as a monk (what was he carrying?), and even TOLD Sirken to death touch someone who ran into the arena...wtf was that? lol.

Entertaining in any case, but sure... some people take it too seriously. The people bending rules, and the people calling people out for bending the rules alike :)

Perhaps I did not read the rules too deeply. But here I made a brand new character, trained no skills at all, did not apply any armor or weapons, figured the contestants were to be completely drunk, and the last one standing was the winner.

I'll let the masses determine which character was me. But the referee halted the match, my opponent took a few more shots, neither of us were drunk, and while my lack of any trained skills were evident, I guess getting a subtle harm touch from the crowd was icing on the cake.

Since monk(ey)s have a weapon already set as their fists, next time those playing another class should have at least their newbie weapon equipped as a balance.

Assuming this event will be popular enough for a fourth time.

Yeah I said before Tryredserver started her fight... "what, no weapon?" and took an early beating to the monk because I was only hitting for 1. It evened out a bit once I had something to hit with but yeah...definitely a monk next time if no weapons.

Only takes one tryhard at a casual event to up the ante. After getting DT'd by Sirken a couple of times I noticed a bunch of bums in West Freeport hitting bats to get their skills up.
