Guess Imma roll scion and flame dash build and use +fire recipe and hope this skill doesn't suck. Wanted to roll ranger but they moved MoM and there doesn't seem to be an effective way to scale fire on that side of the tree. Heres planned build. Not even going to play any farther as it seems >100% I will die by 30.

did they ever make cutthroat a league instead of just races every now and then?

Nah. They had a week long softcore cutthoat a month ago that was kinda hilarious. Seems unlikely they will ever make a league cutthroat because whoever gets a lead becomes unstoppable. There is a leaderboard so they can literally just find anyone getting close to them and kill everyone who gets above lvl 60 or whatever. No point in running that shit for more than a week.

The above build make no sense. Aptly flame dash is a spell that scales on fire/spell damage and cast speed. Gave up on scion very quickly. Spectral throw seems to be nerfed into oblivion. Went back to my trusty ranger and am using frost blades which is pretty nice. Upto here with my build (http://www.pathofexile.com/passive-skill-tree/AAAAAwIAAF4ILhUgGY4ZtC2DR35lTYTZm42v6702vqfTfu2D73 r2ow==) so far...

For returning players a couple of things
- turn on lockstep in the UI options before login
- i'm using this item filter (http://pastebin.com/Af00CbhA) which rocks. no idea how it compares to others but instructions how to install it are here. (http://pathofexile.gamepedia.com/Item_filter)

The convenience features seem mostly awesome to me, you can buy gems from a vendor, the waypoints tend to be along the main path, flasks show you where they will fill up on your life bar, and some other helpful things. These are offset since the difficulty in tempest is very high to me, but mbe I'm just being a noobie.

It doesn't do shit for damage any more. Even with 2hander the clear is terrible. You are better off with lightning storm ground smash or just about anything else. The nerfed elemental proliferation as well, so burning arrow is pretty sheet too.

Damn. I really liked my staff based CoC spectral throw templar. Also had a CoC vaal spectral throw with GMP and LMP in it, that thing would clear a crowd real fast.

That will still work if you scale your spell damage just use something else to level imo

sadly no, hardcore here means you get bumped down to softcore, no perma loss altho playing on normal may be a fate worse than death.
