Anyone know if the Jagged Diamond Dagger is in the game yet?

No, it drops from Renux Herkanor (not in game) or is quested through Villlinus the Small (not in game) <-- though the quest items for the JDD are available in classic.

Hey my rogue is only 7 and he is ready to have it. Those quest weapons are mean and easy to get.

yessir, have 100% of all classic items. rogue epic is unlike any other in its simplicity, also it's interesting how we are able to farm the classic quest pieces knowing that we may not need any of them haha.

There's a good chance we'll see 20 + ragebringers in the first 24 hours of epic quests.

Too bad P1999 can't reproduce the epicness of epic quests....since we all have walkthroughs now.

Paladin epic will be fast too.

seems no one else remembers how long of a camp "eldreth" in lake rathe was for rogues.

maybe the fast version will be implemented here, but he had a very long, random (ie. random within 7 or so real life days) spawn time when the quest was new.

easy quest, but eldreth was definitely a bottleneck/pain in the ass.

Yup. You sit there for a couple days waiting your turn, then when he spawns you realize you drank your milk.

i say to counteract all the preload epic questing... ragebringer should be delayed by 2 years

I just learned about p1999 today and am currently downloading the client to see if I can get it up and running. I am very interested in playing again.

Being the original author of the Ragebringer guide back in the days of live, I wanted to remind everyone of the resource should you need it. Granted, there is no way to predict its accuracy in terms of p1999's implementation of the Ragebringer Epic quest, but its a good place to start.

lvl 65 Halfing Rogue
Experienced server first Quarm kill (Plane of Time) prior to retirement

ps How are rogues in p1999 these days? Although I think I will be going gnome this time around.

I heard the Rogue epic was the most boring epic.

It was pretty bland/boring/easy. However, the payoff that is the final fight with the General was epic in its day. The pull specifically required a very coordinated team. That final fight made the whole quest imo.

rogues are pretty much like you'd expect them to be, except that sneak pulling and deadly strikes dont work :(

You also don't have the proper DPS as a rogue atm. So don't expect a true 'classic' experience. They are working on the damage formula though.

Keep in mind when Kunark was released on live epic quest's didnt come out til 8 months later, I would expect them to do the same here. I asked Uthgaard on the Kunark test server if epicv parts will be dropping / spawning before quests are added like Sol Ro temple was, he said dont plan on it.

Loved tag team pulling those DEs out of the cabin. Lots of fun. 15% left until FD is available to my monk once again.

I have to say that I thought the rogue epic was really cool in that it used our important skills. The PPing the note pieces gave a reason for the skill (other than stealing from your group), and sneaking through a fully popped Hate to get the book of souls was pretty awesome.

Big regret of mine that I never actually finished it before retiring. Never got all the robes cause I was poor :p

Hey Quarr, were you in Shadowed Ones, the rogue only guild on Quellious? I think I remember your name. I was Tular Nodrop. I played on Quellious from 1999 to 2002.

From what I remember, you cannot complete the epic quest by doing all the subquests for the Pouch, Quill, and JDD. You actually have to do the quest, and in the start the items are 100% drop-rate(including quill).

We'll probably see quick druid epics being done as well because of how rediculously easy it is to complete, aside from long camps and such. The big raid targets are going to be easy as shit, especially with Rogues sporting rage bringers for Uluump, Fey, and VS.

Fun epic to complete as well.

That was me, I was the guild leader of SO for a while. But there was only so much one could do with a bunch of rogues lol. Think we went on to At Deaths Door. I later joined Wraith and during PoP I moved to Explicit, making it all the way to Quarm in Plane of Time before I called it good.

Awesome. I remember us being sort of 'contracted out' to guilds like Wraith where they'd bring us along on occasional raids for extra DPS. They'd throw us in groups of five rogues and one cleric - needless to say, we were the ones who got all the exp on those raids.
