You mean besides turning off ambient sounds in options?

Couldnt easily determine which sound file it was, but you can try and look through soundassets.txt and see if you can find something that could seem related.
Delete the line, and restart the game, it will "disable" the sound related ot the line you deleted.

Thanks a lot! Will try it later when I am back from work :) Perhaps the "ambient" thing will do it already - just can't check from here. :)

I am motion sick while watching your gif-madness. Maybe I am to old for to much immersion! ;-)

I just searched ALL .wav and .mp3 files in my eq-directory. Did not find the damn bugger. It's hidden in some other core file I guess. Dang.

I just turned down my ambient sounds a bit so it wasn't so....obvious. Lol I like ambient sounds but it was getting old, ALL day yesterday it "snowed" in North Karana, it sure would be nice to actually see across the zone again. Lol Ahhhhh classic EQ, the constant rain was one of the reasons I left in 2001 and here I am back again, I must be sick. hahaha

I'll take snow over rain any day.

Oh I totally agree, the thunder is out of control when it rains, but the wind does get on my nerves after a while too. Lol

Does that work?

If you guys would follow the LINK I posted you can find out how to delete specific sound files.

You're welcome.

Follow Elad's post. Then you can start removing the offending sounds. Personally I like a tranquil, soothing environment as im getting quaded for 120 in CoM. Ive removed the Ding!, Opening and Closing of bags, thunder, dipping below the water sound, lava(?) sound when approaching Solusek Ro, and most recently the howling sound.

I have no idea why but when I reduced my volume the above sounds don't reduce equally and are too darned loud.
