It would be greatly appreciated to anyone who can help me find out why I'm getting a DB error- invalid username /password after the Velious patch. Please. I have turned off firewalls/changed the password (my friend is able to log me on so I km now it's right)/ tried to back up to my previous working files. Ever since I did the patch I cannot log on please help 😔.

was it definitely 3 L's and 2 K's... or was it 2 L's and 3 K's?

Try making a 2nd login server account and see if that works just to eliminate it being something connection related.

I have tried to login under their accounts and no dice. I'm 100% I'm putting everything in correctly (I type the password in the username area to make sure it's showing correctly and not doing anything weird).

anything change with your network? new router, restarted router, etc?

Are you running Windows 10? Heard some people are having problems.

Windows 7. I signed in before the update that same day and it worked. Then I downloaded the update and it quit letting me in.

No new equipment. I tried backing up to the previous files and the error remains.

so you're getting an invalid password error? have you tried resetting your password?

Yes, I have reset it and my friend logged it in and verified it works. It just won't work for me and neither will their accounts.

Any strange characters in your password that Windows 10 might not be picking up?

For the longest time in EQ I had trouble with a '

I checked that in the username box to make sure it wasn't entering in something else and it checked out (haven't had that problem in the past either) it just seems more like the emulator servers are not recognizing my patched. Could it have been corrupted when I updated?

Try redownloading the patch and reapplying the patch. Otherwise it sounds like a reinstall is in order.
