View Full Version : Solo EXP Spot for an Evil 31ish Shaman

I've been killing the guards outside of Surefall Glade as well as Baobob and Chanda Miller quite effecitvely for the past few levels, but I just hit 31 and Guard Bixby is now light blue. I could probably continue camping that spot and maybe try pulling Konem Matse or whatever his name is, but I think it's about time to move on. Anyone got suggestions for a nice solo spot? Keep in mind that I want to preserve my evil factions. I'm considering moving back to South Karana and camping the gnolls outside of Infected Paw - I was at that camp for a while before I went to Qeynos Hills, but was in over my head - but that camp is kind of super-popular and it's a pain to deal with all the other people who also want to camp it.

What level are the misty thicket guards?

The gnolls at paw are nice, but I would suggest gnomes in Sol A. Might be tough to single pull, but with slows you should be ok. Massive exp, amazing if you Duo with people.

Yea I would say Misty Thicket guards or paw. Sol a gnomes aren't bad but they are pretty MR, which means slow will get resisted quite a bit. There are also a few Sisters in OOT in their 30s, might give them a try.

Any good recommendations for a good shaman around this level? (28 atm)

I've been killing some Mammoths, but getting kinda sick of the snow :P (Plus, a nice ZEM would be great)

I don't know about casting slow - I'm just wearing banded and totemic, basically, so my AC is not through the roof or anything. I think root-dotting will be a lot more efficient until I hit 50 and get good gear. Thanks for the Misty recommendation, I'll try it out.

Misty Thicket is working out pretty well. Does anyone know of the nearest ogre-friendly merchant near there? I ran to the barbarian village in West Karana when I was camping Surefall guards because one of the merchants there was neutral. Anything like that around Misty Thicket?

WC would probably be the nearest Druid vendor.. i have no idea if there are any evil vendors in East Karana ?

That certainly solves the problems of you having full bags.

If you can split up the spawn on the mobs, the guards in NK would probably be very good exp for you. They are level 30 and fairly easy.

There's also a merchant inside runnyeye. He's not very picky about who he sells to; you can bank there, as well!

Oh, interesting. I'll have to try and find him. Is he a goblin? Also, when you say I can bank there, you mean there is a banker in Runnyeye? That sounds kind of bizarre!

The wood elf ranger in lfay camp is pretty good exp til 35 when they turn light blue, no loot though.

Also, there is a bank in Runnyeye. Yes, a bank. You can go there, change in coppers, and go hunting some more, although you have to be at least level 30 so they are non-aggressive to you. Add to that the local merchants, which sell food and other items, and you could stay here for a while. Very cool...
