It shows up as Kael Drakkal on maps and even when you're logging in to a char parked in Kael.
Shows up on ZAM and p99 Wiki as Kael Drakkel.

I'd always bought it to be Drakkel, pronounced like apple or tackle. Drakkal seems like it should be pronounced like father or boggle. Don't sound right in my head...
Classic spelling issues by VI/SOE!

I am pleased to see my classic intuition validated ^^

It's Drakkel. As mentioned, SOE mispelled it as Drakkal (and even Drakael) in places like the character select, but I think what really perpetuated the misspelling was when EQAtlas did it.

Drakkel is the universe where Vindi doesn't spawn Statue of Rallos Zek. Drakkal is the universe where he does.

Ty Swish. I agree with you on this one. Drakkal had a much juicier and more menacing tone to it. Looks like this inconsistency is as classic as a female wood elf druid played by a 12 year old boy ERPing in Kelethin Inn for donations

But how is it pronounced?
drak-awl (as in the word all) or drakel ? (as in gel)
The former, in my case ;)
