View Full Version : Boridain - Who gets the handin? Who Knows?

The 2nd ring quest in EW is a large bottleneck as Boridain is on a long timer. The problem arises when many players all hand in their axe at the same time. This morning a rogue and I both handed in the axe at the same time, he swears it was his axe first and I think it was mine. Boridain ate both axes, so who gets the spawn? There is no confirmation and the axe did not appear in my inventory and he says it did not reappear in his inventory.
This quest sucks and sometimes nasty. Any thoughts?

Almost petition worthy. If one of you is lying and the other just KS'd to complete the quest, GM's should be able to tell.

If only there could be an honor duel for the hand in.

This part needs a "Thanks for turning in Axe, Playername" quest text.

Yes, this would be ideal.
Many people have claimed that turning in at same time for this results in multiple people's quest items getting eaten. Probably the safest way to do it is just have people roll for it... or maybe whoever was at the camp first honestly. Not sure what the staff wants to do about this atm.

I don't think GMs want to answer petitions ever three hours for the same issue. I know this server is "classic" but does P99 ever "tweak" stuff like this to make it easier on everyone, players and GM?

Everyone is spamming the empty air where he spawns, no one want to play nicely... I have been trying to complete this quest for weeks and usually back down when it looks ugly at spawn as I don't want to join a pissing war. I proposed with the rogue today to roll but he was not interested.

Wow that's pretty bad. Glad as a Druid I don't care to start the ring quests for awhile. Sounds annoying as heck.
We need an FTE message for Ring2 hand ins now?
If someone is already there waiting, move along and try again later.

This would actually be a better way of handling it imo. It should definitely be considered a camp.

I agree, move along. I waited 3 full hours and five minutes before the pop, five others logged in and it was a click war until he popped. It sucks but manners < pixels again.

Happened to me too, man.
People can be real assholes.
