Thinking about an enchanter?!?

Morning folks,
I am up in the air on what I want to play, I am semi new, my highest level toon is a lvl 11 rogue which I am kind of enjoying but I miss a caster class. I dont know which caster I want to play but I am thinking of an enchanter. I played a cleric on live for 8ish years but I spent all my time looking at group members health bars and didn't get to really enjoy killing monsters eheh. Tossing my options in the air. What do you all think?

You should tell us about your prefered playing style. If you want to group, yes, enchanter is really great. For solo enchanter can be great as well, but only if you know the class inside out... it's kinda risky.

For solo i would recommend necromancer and to a lesser degree mage, druid or shaman, depending on what aspect of casters you like.

One thing to note is that there are a billion enchanters on P99. You'll need to enjoy solo as well since you may be LFG a while.

There are a lot of enchanters, but I never had much of a problem getting a group.

Certainly less trouble finding a group than some other +int casters (stares at wizards and necros)

I think chanter is one of the most fun classes to play in group!
The only downside is that you won't be able to afk: group may get impatient and pull, then you will return to find them all dead.

That's true, mobs hate chanters.

It's just one of the trinity. Basically the same happens when healer goes afk or tank goes afk without a word.

Nobody cares about wizard going afk, thats why they often get away with it.

its not unheard of recently to have mulltiple enchanters in a group. save enough clerics and be liberal with buffs, you will have no problem finding groups. heck, they may even find you!

Double charm groups are some of the best.

Playing a Enchanter in Velious will be a LOT harder. Lots of mobs summon, they will kill you in 2 hits, and there is a lot of resists in Velious and X amount of mobs you can not Charm ever. Not going to be a Sunday Picnic. :eek:

But it is not easy for any class in Velious compared to Velious. :p

If you prefer group, just realize that no one really wants you taking up a spot in their group until you are level 16. :D
