So I'm looking at rolling a warrior. But before I do a warrior over a mage, I have a few questions?

1) Would I still be able to find groups from levels 1-30?
2) Should I dabble with quests such as Langseax and camps such as HPH for the PGT? Or should I just ask someone for some decent weapons since this server has been out long enough that people may be tossing things like dragoon dirks around and obsidian shards around?
3) What the hell am I thinking trying to play a warrior in classic!?!?!
4) ???

Lots of true noobies and lowbie alts to group with, Earn your own shiz and dont depend on hand outs. a New Warrior will be a tough haul but if thats the class you want to play stick with it and you will have a blast. Mages are powerfull now, come kunark the balance will swing back to melee.

Thanks for the info. I don't mind earning my stuff one bit by the way...

Finding groups should be easy 1-30. I still find it relatively easy to find groups at 39 too. There's usually a demand for tanks. Don't bother with a Langseax. There's enough gear out there at cheap prices, you should be able to get into something better with minimal effort. The PGT is an excellent choice until you can afford Obsidian Shards, and High Pass is an excellent and underrated place to hunt... So by all means go camp one. If not, just use any opportunity you have to raise plat, you can buy one for 100-150pp.

Ahhh thanks that is what I was wondering! Great information, I guess my main question was, "is it worth it now that the game has been out for over a year to bother doing long quests like langseax or is there gear for cheap prices with better stats?" Can't wait to get in game!

IMO, unless the quests are pretty easy, what you really need to do is make some money. Whether it's bonechips, bear skins, deathfist/cb belts, batwings or whatever you're gonna need pp to gear up not only with semi-decent weapons but also armor (like bronze). Prices on this server can seem fairly steep to newcomers, such as a PGT which will set you back like 100pp, which can seem like a world away for a low level character. But there are ways to make money. Just find your niche.

Yeah! I'll probably be getting lots of batwings, bonechips, and cb belts/pads. How much does a stack of bonechips go for? Used to be 2pp. Batwings? And belts/pads still 1pp/3pp each?

Bonechips go for 5pp per stack most frequently...Occasionally i'll see someone buying them up between 6-10pp each. As a newb, i always saved them until I saw that guy in EC :D

Batwings can be purchased, so theyre difficult to sell.

CB belts = 1pp ea, pads 2pp ea
