Anyone throw any good class combos off the top of there head? Me and the wife are going to start playing again and need to jog my memory a bit.

Monk/Shaman and Druid/Enchanter are awesome. Magician/Cleric isn't bad.

Been doing Shadowknight/Shaman with a buddy of mine, or sometimes Shadowknight/Cleric with my friend Stoneeye. It's pretty decent.

what is it paladins get, some buff that's handy for raids? I'm ignorant of what they're really good for outside of FoL + stun for tanking lol

shm/mnk and clr/enc are classic power duos and always a safe bet

less popular duos are dru/enc, nec/enc, dru/nec, and shm/brd

I've heard shaman/shadowknight is a great combo. But I'm biased, look at my sig! =)

Not bad if you're fear kiting with shaman dots added I'd imagine. I'd prefer a necro myself for pet + more dots etc but SK still fun and doable in an open area.

Warrior/Cleric, Monk/Druid

I ran a cleric/warrior duo in a previous life and it was fine. However, you are lacking so much utility that you are limited in what you can do, as well as lots of conveniences. If your main purpose is to duo and not be main tank/heal in raids, then I'd suggest replacing cleric with druid or shaman. Switching warrior to monk is also a good option. Thats just my experience though, and what I'd do differently.

Consider using 2 of the same class. Mage/mage for example.

I have a 60 Enchanter and a 60 Shaman, and I personally think Cleric/Enchanter way outdoes Monk/Shaman, but maybe less so in Veliois where charm loses its luster

I would like to throw the ol' Chanter Shaman ticket into the hat here. It's often cited as having too much overlap but I think anybody who has seen the two paired together in action can attest to just how much they complement each other rather than stepping on each others toes.

Shaman's powerful slows and malo alone do so much work for a charming chanter it's ridiculous. Any enchanter that loves to charm who has had the pleasure of an attentive shaman who stays on point with malo's on a charm pet knows that it literally brings peace of mind.

I'm not going to say that Shaman Chanter are stronger than Cleric Chanter but I firmly believe a strong argument can be made for it being on par which is pretty rad considering Cleric Chanter is probably the most powerful combo in the game.

Quick Edit: After some more thought I also think that Chanter Shaman is a great combo because what they contribute to each other not only makes both of them stronger but it also makes both classes a LOT more fun. A shaman with a permanent clarity puts you just over the edge and gives you for all intents and purposes just about unlimited mana. Shamans have a lot of tools in their toolbox and a lot of times you have to pick and choose 2 or 3 to attend to over others but when paired with a chanter you open up your full kit without hesitation. The same largely goes for a chanter which I touched on in the above paragraphs so I won't beat that horse but I think it's important to reiterate that the two of these classes in combination not only are significantly more powerful but they're also significantly more fun as result.

Just play what you think is fun :) You will have a better time. As long as the combo isn't crazy broken (warrior / rogue would be slow I guess).

Even double ranger you could be an archery duo! And use awesome bows to super kite things!!! Anything that you can outrun you could kill (I solo killed a sand giant at level 18 with my ranger)

Like SK can be a pretty good tank (self healing a bit) and mix it with a....necromancer!!! Who uses empathy spells to heal!!

2 necromancers would be pretty strong too...they can double heal each others pets (whoevers is taking the hits).

Or be clerics! And tank / heal each other!! (I was soloing with my cleric till 54, getting great exp too).

Or, be double monks!! Super bind wound team!! Or an enchanter and paladin!

ENC/SHM and ENC/CLR are both strong.

SHM/SK is pretty good if you like having that traditional healer/tank setup

SHM/MNK similar to above with more emphasis on dps than tank/utility

NEC/ROG is a pretty uncommon combo thats deceptively strong. Necro basically just plays like he would fear kiting solo and the rogue tears shit up like a human pet. I duo'd/trio'd (added a second necro) multiple levels at moat in CoM in the low 50s on my rogue and the exp was pretty ridiculous.

NEC and shaman is a good combo as well. Can fear kite until shaman gets root then root/rot.

Monk/Shaman is my all time favorite I really don't think any other duo is as powerful and versatile. But really almost anything + Shm is good. Lot of really good Enc duos as well. Enc/Clr Enc/Shm Enc/Enc Enc/Nec all good. Something like Nec/Mag would work well outdoors with fearkiting. Lots of really interesting duos if you aren't worried about getting the best possible duo.

Dru/Nec is my fav, ports and lots of snare/dots with a chance for druid charm pet on top of necro pet in some zones.

SoW/Regen is great for necro.

Edit: On top of it being killer duo, they can both decide "Im soloing today"

I'm pretty convinced, Enchanter/Cleric combo is hands down the best combo.

Best heals in game, best CC in game, best tanks in game. (charmed mobs)

Enc+ shm or Enc+clr

I think Enchanter/Druid is very nice as well. Snared pets are save pets. Druid heals are not as good, but the pet is ultimately expendable. And pet with DS means even faster killing.

Porting and sow are nice additions, again making everything even safer. And in some zones (with animals) you can even have 2 pets.
