Black Ops, WTF....

Just played the game for a couple of hours and all I can say is, what is up with the graphics and sound? It feels like a child' game. The game play is pretty standard from MW2, but most of the maps feel grey and dull. Multiplayer for me seems a bit buggy for a launch as well.

I don't know, I guess u could say I had high standards for the game. Anyone that has played it yet, what do u guys think?

PC version is the only way to play Multi - so yah I don't mind the launch lag so much (i'm at work anyways). So much more fast paced and twitchy than using a controller to play. It feels so slooowww.

These were the same guys that did World at War, which i personally was not a huge fan of. They just roll with the infinity ward tag.... game isn't all that great.

Activision has done this with every CoD title to date:
- Activision has Infinity Ward make an awesome game, and it sells great based on quality and some marketing.
- Activision assigns followup to Treyarch, who work for much cheaper and turn out a generic product that sells purely on hype from last game and insane amounts of marketing.

Haha, I got one of those "gaming guarantees" so I took it back yesterday. The core multiplayer is the same fucking game as MW2, but everyone is going on about the new game modes. Gun game? Really? Like most people havent played the shit out of this in CS and CSS. The zombie mode is a joke, it is like a bad l4d survival game with no versus. The single player game was fun, but it was like 5-6hrs long. So I dont really see why anyone would buy this?

Yeah it's SO SO , at best. Beats the hell out of MW2, that was an ABORTION of a game. Think of something to not include in a game just look at what MW2 did. Infinity Ward wasn't drove by anything but money on the second modern warfare. Anyone who thinks otherwise probably paid 15 bucks for 2 rehashed maps and 3 bad ones. Hopefully you didn't do it twice and get both map packs. The black op's customization is what tips it over MW2. That and the guns are actually a bit tougher to use, they changed alot in Black ops, it's alot better than that shit Mw2 though

I like how in the vietnam part of the single player, you are supposed to be on a mission in 1962, yet you are using an enfield that wasn't developed until 1966.

Also using a red dot scope in Vietnam... and a thermal imaging scope that is clearly not starlight.

Meh, I picked this up on Xbox simply because the last couple iterations of CoD on PC have been abject garbage. Last one that wasn't terrible was MW1 and prior to that CoD2.

They have issues getting the matchmaking on Xbox sorted out, but the gameplay I think is actually better than MW2. They dropped a ton of the enormously lame perks that took no skill to use. No more increased explosive damage, no more infinite grenade launchers, no more using kill streaks to get kill streaks. No more 50 yard killshots with shotguns that were your secondary weapon. Most of the ways that the no skill baddies would kill me are just flat out gone.

Haven't touched the single player at all, but the multiplayer is basically more of the same MW2 just without many of the lame perks that made me rage.
