Clarification on the rules. Are alts allowed?

The rules kinda confused me. The boxing section reads to me in the obvious way 'Don't log in twice and play' which is fine. But it's also suggestive that you're only allowed one character at once.

Is this so? I'm someone that likes playing both healers and dps and I'm just unsure whether I can roll two characters to play at different times. (One for grouping with friends) and one for soloing alone.

Is this allowed? Obviously I don't plan on opening to instances of eq to play both at the exact same time. I just like having the option to switch between characters both from a gameplay perspective and a rp perspective.

If they are alts on the same account, that's fine. If they are on two different accounts, do not log in at the same time. Simple as that.

You can have as many characters, across as many accounts, as you please. Just make sure you don't box. They will catch you and you will end up in RnF like Irongrip did with a meme thread about you if you cheat.

You can create an unlimited number of accounts. You can have and play up to 8 characters on each account, one at a time.
However if you have characters from two or more accounts logged on from the same IP address at the same time, questions WILL be raised!
It is possible to get an IP exception if you and your spouse, child, room mate, live in sex slave or whatever want to both play at the same time. But you will be watched and there are certain behaviors that can indicate to the devs that one person is attemptin to play two characters and they will smite first and ask questions later.
Just don't do it. Not even for a quick item or plat transfer. If you need to transfer stuff, find a friend you can trust and use him as a third party.

Hint, damned good Hint. You are ALLOWED to play Blue and Red Both at the same time, and it is not considered Boxing. :cool:
