Hi all,
I have had similar log-in issues but have most of them sorted. However, when I get to the character select screen none of my characters are holding anything in their hands.
Clicking 'Enter World' the game looks like it is loading but it crashes out with the following message.

'EverQuest cannot find the zone file 'cauldron' (or whichever zone any of my characters are in) in the directory that you are currently running EverQuest from. Please check and make sure that you do not have more than one directory with EverQuest installed.'

I can only see one EQ directory /Sony etc and the names of the zones are in the EverQuest dir.

I would very much appreciate any suggestions.

Likely corrupted files. Delete the "cauldron" zone files and replace them with fresh ones.

Thank you for the suggestion. Would you mind letting me know where I get the fresh ones from. Do I need to re-install Titanium?

If you don't have a backup copy, yes.

Thank you for your help :)
As I don't seem to have a backup I have decided to re install.
I will let you know how I go.
Thx again. Mind you, it's the missing weapons in the hands that has me foxed.

OK. Very pleased to report that all is good :)
I have all characters hands carrying their weapons etc, and I can log into whichever zone they happen to be in.

I saw that the 'Backup' folder in the /Sony/Everquest dir was empty and decided to re install. This took some time to do as my son did the original install some years ago, and I had to figure out the virtual drive business. Anyway got that loaded and then tried to set up and play the game. This was not easy :( It did not want to connect to the net let alone the server.
My /Sony/Everquest/backup folder was empty.
I had seen the S3D Files backup dir in the /Sony dir but had not realized that that was the one I needed. After comparing that folder's content to to /Sony/ Everquest content
I decided to copy/paste and got back into the game.

I have been a bit long winded I know, but it just might help some-one else with similar issues to see how I managed to fix my problem.
Remember. Not everyone that loves this game is a wizard at techy stuff.
