Axe is awesome, it worked best when you have Shaman in group and also haste types spell. Dex buffs = More procs and Haste = more swings.

This procs seems to draw agroed from other mobs that I am not hitting as well, which make it pretty nice 2hander.

Also, for the record i believe haste has no benifet to getting more procs per minute. dex slightly helps.

It all depends on the weapon. And a little dex.

Haste gave chance to more swings so more weapon contacts = more chance to proc.

On live, this is not correct.

Here? Im not 100% but i think it works the same as live.

I heard more swings actually decreases proc rate, but that would go aginst what im trying to say.

I remember what you are talking about. It was how Warriors would wield Earthshaker, Dual a shaman, get slowed, and then have a group pull all of PoFire, and the warrior would just nonstop proc like crazy killing everything for massive exp.

The slower you swing, the higher your chance to proc, but I think it all evens out. Swing faster, proc less, swing slower, proc more.

Proc rate is a percentage over a given timeframe. DEX helps increase the rate of procs per timeframe. When people refer to slower weapons procing more and haste making a weapon proc less, they are talking procs per swing.

You are neither procing more nor less when swinging faster or slower, you are procing more or less -per swing-.

In the previoius Earthshaker example, it was simply luck of the random number generator (or bad coding that increased the percent chance in order to meet a threshold over a given time given the rate of swings). Had that person been swinging at normal speed with that weapon, they should have the same number of procs over period of time, just not as many per swing.

I don't know what is more pathetic that someone is selling their character for plat or that someone would buy it? The whole point of this server to to play the game before Sony screwed everything up. If I wanted this then I would play EQ2, just saying. To me this ruins the spirit of the game but to each their own.

I think your missing the whole point of MMO's in general. Like I said in a previous post EQ is a sandbox, if you want to do nothing but craft then go for it..if u want to lvl and raid hardcore..you can...if you wanna buy a lvl 50 toon and enjoy the end game then that is your choice. Personally...I sit in EC all day long at lvl 1 and make money. No ones way of playing EQ is wrong...

Yes you have no clue. The server has been out for like a year. How long do you think it takes to play through EQ classic? Certainly not close to a year.

I did level 1-50 the old fashioned way. Nothing wrong with me not wanting to do it all over again when I don't have to. Its not like I payed real money for the account I traded a freaking fbss and a few other low value items for it...

@Fromage Apparently, you have not read my big signature. I have Facebook, Twitter, and a Podcast. Yes, I do have a clue and I know that EQ can take a year plus to develop a character. This is exactly my point. What is the point if someone else has done all the hard work for you. What is the satisfaction in know that you bought your toon by farming in game plat and not be going the grind your self. What's next giving everyone GM commands on the server.

@Nakara To assume that I don't know what a sandbox is or anything about MMO's or EQ is your failure to understand what I am saying. If people want to pay their way for a game then so be it. To be the whole fun is playing the game. Personally, I have found when people buy toons, they take it for granted and in raiding and grouping it shows. Not saying this is the way with everyone. Then again some people don't understand why I don't want to take free hand outs and earn it my self. To be the whole point of this server is earn it your self and have fun with the risk VS. reward. Hey, if people want to use Plat and make this game a Pay 2 Win and that is fun for them, so be it I can respect that.

We have a great thing here! Most MMO's now a days are all about Pay 2 Win. When you put it that way as long as it doesn't ruin the economy of the game I could care less. I have only been playing on this server for a week now, so only time will tell. I do respect this choice but doesn't mean that Yak isn't going to voice his thoughts. However, I feel that I have spoken my peace and will save the rest of the ranting for my podcast. :)

While I appreciated the bumps for this thread, I think this is not time and places to judge buyer or seller. IF you have problem with this type of transaction, feel free to make a new post in off topics or somewhere else.
