Hi All,

I played EQ back in the day. Started when Kunark came out. Hit my stride during Velious. And quit shortly after POP came out. Saryrn server :)

I used to 2 box a monk and shaman and had a blast. I started a monk on P99 but forgot how slow they kill and quickly realized why I created a shaman partner for my monk.
I see some threads in here recommending druid to make some money etc...

Is that a recommended path still? I don't think I have the heart to solo a monk up to his 20's or 30's before I can find some groups.
is there any way to 2 box or is that against the rules?

I was hoping to make some money to buy some bags and maybe some sow potions to help with travel.

Any advice is greatly appreciated.

I would recommend making a pet clothie to start. Necro, mage and chanter pets are very strong especially at low levels. You won't require a weapon or even armor, leaving a lot of money open for spells.

2boxing is strictly against the rules and a bannable offense.

I agree with the poster above. Necros and mages generally require very little in the way of equipment to be decent, and both can solo farm cash well enough for a new player. Enchanters too, but they tend to require more gear (being dependent on cha as well as int) and require more knowledge / skill.

Welcome back- I encourage getting the duxaui interface :-)
I had a problem installing it though. I had to reinstall the game, which wasn't too bad.

Why would you have to wait that long? There are groups going everywhere on p99.

I was grouping from level 4 up, soloing rarely. And my current toon is a necro, not the most wanted class in groups. So, if you do not find groups, you are not trying very hard.

Get to Qeynos or Greater Feydark.

In Qeynos you can usually make some friends killing gnolls for gnoll fangs.

In GFay, It's all about them Crushbone Belts. Very easy to find groups and make friends.

You don't have to play a solo class as your first character, just establish yourself. Makes some friends and join a guild. Use /ooc and don't be afraid to politely /tell people.

I'm very similar... I want to find a group I can at least talk with. Should I hit up the liver servers or is this worth it here?

Thanks for the reply's everyone.
I did end up finding some groups in Befallen.
I did have a lot of trouble finding people to group with in east and west commons, was trying about as hard as I could.

I am on usually around 9 or 10pm PST Druunkin if anyone wants to look me up. Currently level 9 monk.
