View Full Version : Some questions
I've got some questions that have occurred to me in my time back in EQ (all two weeks of it) and I haven't been able to scare up an answer for them via search. So, here goes!
1. Is there a way to turn the old pet models back on? These new ones (except possibly earth pet) are pants-on-head dumb looking
2. You can't transfer $ directly between toons, right? Can't drop it either, so...gem drop/fast camps in remote locations?
3. I seem to recall that, when autorunning, going both mouse buttons and steering would keep you running but turn off the auto, so when you let go of a button, you'd stop. That doesn't happen any more?
4. Am I just a 'tard or does the pet buff window not work?
5. Grouped with a bard this morning. His spell effect icon was in my buffs window instead of the songs window?
Thanks guys :)

1. Yes. Go into eqclient.ini and find the line for UseLuclinElementals. Change it to FALSE.
2. Nope. Gem drops and fast camping in remote locations, or ask someone you trust to transfer.
3. I do not know the answer to this one.
4. Pet buff window does not work. Pets never used to have the buff window in EQ.
5. All buffs go in the buff window. I don't remember them ever being separate so I'm assuming that's classic. Count yourself lucky you can move the window around. They used to cover up the right side of the screen and block off even more of your tiny window. :)

Hmm not sure I understand the question but here is what I can tell you about auto run:
hitting enter to open up a text chat (or R) while you are running, will set you to auto run. Also, there is an auto run button you can set up in options.
While autro run ningyou should be able to right click to mouse look.
pressing both right and left mouse button will make you run, but when you release either button you will stop running. If you were auto running while you pressed both buttons, you will stop running upon release.
hope that helpz
If you were auto running while you pressed both buttons, you will stop running upon release.
That's what I remember as well. But, when I do this NOW, that isn't the case.
I wonder if it's a difference between how windowed mode is handled versus fullscreen? (I play in windowed mode now)
1. Yes. Go into eqclient.ini and find the line for UseLuclinElementals. Change it to FALSE.
Holy hell, THANK YOU for this!
