The only melee I can think of that most likely won't need to pull at all is a rogue.
My personal thoughts on puller ranking:
1. Monk
2. Sk
3. Bard
4. Paladin
5. Ranger (Is higher on the list if it is outdoors due to harmony)
6. Warrior
7. Rogue
Perhaps others can shed some light on this. There is also another thread similar to what you are asking http://www.project1999.com/forums/showthread.php?t=213913

Completely agree. Bards are really fun to play and who doesn't want a bard in there group? They bring SO much versatility.

I agree with those ranks. But having played a warrior into the upper 50s, I will tell you that you will get asked to pull a lot, even though there are classes out there that are better than you at it.
Other than rogue, expect to be asked to pull at some point if you're a melee.

Rogue! ^^
You will be asked to pull at some point in every other melee class. You may even be asked to do so as a rogue, but it is far less likely ^^
In my experience, the main tank always pulls unless there is a monk in the group, then the monk pulls.
So for you, I advise the following:
1. Never play monk
2. Never be main tank
1 is easy, 2 is impossible for melee classes even if you play rogue. Recently I was in a group where the MT, a warrior, had to leave, so we ended up with the highest level rogue in the group pulling while the other rogue did rogue things, at least until we got a ranger.
rogues should pull over warriors because they have sneak
in any case if you dont want to pull dont play a class with the abillity to sneak or feign death

This also boils down to if you know how to pull properly ... situation dictates ... if a mob's back is turned to you and no other mobs facing a rogue will pull just as good as any other class and better then a warrior for sure. Sneak pull using javelins. Warriors should be pulling at low levels ... once you get up to raids though only monks should really be pulling.
P.S. Yes bards are very very useful if they are played correctly. I have been in groups with amazing bards (someone who pulls non stop, can charm/mez whatever it is) and on the other end someone who is bad and does not know what they are doing or who can only do one thing at once.
