Hi my name is Backup. You may remember me from Rhuobhe, the legendary human cleric who rose from rags to riches and who fought in the epic pvp conflicts that transpired in 2013-2014. Rhuobhe was a member of <Charles Bronson> then on to <Red Dawn> and then joined the retarded guild <Hokuten> before taking a short break. Eventually I ended up in <Holocaust> before I quit the game. None of these guilds exist now.

I've been leveling my Druid using the small fortune that Rhuobhe had accumulated (not a whole lot). He recently dinged 60 and now my gear (thanks EMPIRE99.com) is finally to a point where I am actively going to pvp and hunt some of you. You can check my 1-60 record on the leaderboards.

I do not actively play or pvp as much as much as I would like to but I am going to try and post on this blog to chronicle my kills and deaths and my personal progress in the toxic world of red99. I am going to be transparent and will try to be detailed and provide screenshots if possible. I don't really care so much if I lose but if you are afraid to die, you might find yourself here so you can be judged.

I don't hold any grudges so please feel free to talk shit or get mad.

Effexor <United Blood Nation>.
Zone: Eastern Wastes
Status: Ran away (gate)

I'll start with Effexor <United Blood Nation>. A level 60 Halfling druid hanging around the Rygorr fort. Decent ratio (http://www.r99pvp.net/showplayer.php?p=Effexor). I remember that name from somewhere.

I had form of the Hunter and spent a few minutes looking around for this guy. As soon he spotted me he hid behind a tree (i wish I had a screenshot). I ran up behind him and pelled the shit out of him.

From my experience Druid v. Druid battles are pointless. I chased this halfing across the zone and pelled him at least once. As soon as I started trying to land breath of ro he gated. I wish I had more screenshots.

About 15 minutes later he comes back with a friend because he can't handle 1v1.

Before calling it a night yesterday I ported a colleague to WC and noticed this poor soul in the zone. Ran to spires and found a naked dark elf at their bind spot. Probably someone's buff bot or perhaps someone who does not give a shit about their character or maybe both. Nothing exciting about this.

So tonight I decided to kill someone before I went to bed. I port and buff up in a quiet spot as I begin to plan my mission. Within a minute a YT appears. I ask the guy where he died and I med up and sortie to the location.

Apparently two <United Blood Nation> scum are camping the far edge of the Butcherblock docks killing anyone trying to catch the boat. I zone in and cast form of the hunter - then i camouflage. I have no idea what class they are but they allow me to sneak in and I survey a magician pet and some dark elf bitch at the top of the wall. I fall back for a sec to mem root for the pet and charge the dark elf caster who is Savah level 60 Wizard. You can view the combat log but I manage to pell that bitch and keep the pet rooted. I am also levitated on top of the wall so the pet has a difficult time pathing. Madpsycho 55-59 Magician isn't able to do anything for the rest of the battle.

I trade a lure of ice for a breath of ro. I heal it away with chloblast and the wizard yonders. I track her into the inner dock area until she gates. The magician flees to the mountains and camps. I wish i had screenshots of them but everything happened fast and they were easily frightened.

These people have good leaderboard ratios. I was under the impression that <United Blood Nation> were seasoned veterans. I guess they are only good at scoring YT's at the NFP bank. This is the 3rd these scum run away from my Druid. This particular situation they were ready in a defensive posture and it was 2 on 1. LOL

So this afternoon my boss left early and I decided to login and kill some giants in great divide before i went home. I've been working on getting my coldain faction back so that i can finally get my god damn 8th ring. I usually pull a bunch of these to a wall or corner and pbae all of them at once with upheaval. I take lots of damage from these so i generally keep shield of thorns up from my awesome gloves (http://wiki.project1999.com/Gloves_of_Earthcrafting) TUNARE BE PRAISED.

I was just minding my own business until this ranger showed up. He caught me by surprise. I believe he was at 80% when he noticed me medding from a recent pull. I was not full health either so this was an excellent oppourtunity for him to get an easy kill from a lom possibly afk druid. WRONG.

I didn't even get a chance to switch my spells but luckily i had 'winged death' and 'breath of ro' memed. I did have bladecoat and my shield of thorns still up. my mana was ok. I feinted that i was fleeing and then ran back to my little corner on the stone boulders on the north side of the zone. this gave me a few second to chain cast WD and breath of ro while he swung at me with blazing speed. I just stood my ground because im a gangster and just started swinging my sprinkler (http://wiki.project1999.com/Sprinkler_of_the_Spirits). what the fuck does he know about me?

So this guy just stood there getting pierced by thorns a ton of times and taking dot damage. I couldn't believe it. By the time he realized what was happening it was too late for him. He tried to flee at the last moment but there is no way he could out run form of the hunter.

I was hanging out in WL after porting some colleagues to WL. I was thinking if i should stay awake and murder someone so I hung out in the zone for a few minutes. At this time there were 3 groups of CS and Slosh doing kael last night (this was after midnight) so i roamed around looking for stragglers. Then Chillum (whos farming alt is this?) appeared in the zone. I guessed that he might camping elder beads so I cruised over to the cave and saw a level 60 halfing druid medding up on that little corner where everyone sits. I was ready for combat and didn't waste time so i ran up to him and pelled his ass (i usually do annul + pumice) and WD / bro. So while he pumiced himself i started to cast scorie and it landed! i guess i managed pell out his circle or he just has shitty FR. He dispells WD and then immediately tries to gate but scorie #2 landed and the halfling burned a fiery death. I hate halfling Druids. Humans are the master race.

So the other night I decide to go on a hunt with my friend Tamiyo <Empire> powerful wizard of Felwithe. We don't do teamspeak this particular night because it was late and our smoking hot wives are sleeping in bed behind us. We don't want to wake them. This was a casual hunting trip.

We roam through three different zones and our enemies fear us. a YT appears Gludan <Empire> the wood elf Druid was defeated by Odraga <Friends> in Cobalt Scar. We ask him what happened. He tells us an unbelievable story about a lone warrior running at perpetual bard speed (without a bard). Gludan is kind of a goof ball so we dismiss it as 'ravings of a madman' and quickly sortie to Cobalt Scar to investigate.

I teleport us in and change to form of the hunter. There is Odraga and a caster with an unintelligible name who turns out to be an out of range gnome caster - class unknown. I move forward and notice a group of wyverns chasing something who give away the position of Odraga. We pell Odraga and go to work. He is heavily buffed. I did annul+pumice at first and landed my dots. Odraga is running at me extremely fast even with form of hunter speed. I chloroblast myself every so often. The four of us buzz in circles around the area of the skyshrine tower. This filthy gnome was shadowing him and casting buffs on him as well so the pelling was less effective. To make matters worse, my wingman is kos to the wyverns. We begin to lose control of the battle.

His health was going down eventually but Herbey <Friends> shows up within a matter of seconds. I assess the 3v1 situation and decide to make a run for it but this epic warrior is impossible to shake and my gate gets kick stunned twice. I take two more lures from Herbey and the fight is over. Thinking back it would have been smarter for me to just run up the tower and click the skyshrine portal.

You will not find a record of this YT because the leaderboard was down at the time.

At first I could not comprehend how this fucking warrior was so fast. I never heard of this warrior. Odraga never said a word its just Herbey talking. Apparently this warrior has Pauldrons of the Blue Sky (http://wiki.project1999.com/Pauldrons_of_the_Blue_Sky) so keep this in mind when you face Odaraga <Friends> in the future. These things are re-chargeable.

Final thoughts:

Cobalt Scar is a deadly place I should have known. It is a step away from scum central (mischief) and it is has skyshrine, sg and a portal. That is 4 adjacent zones in a small area where your enemies can quickly come to assist. I praise Herbey this guys always manages to close the distance perfectly to land lures. I hate gnomes. gnomes are always played by the most unsavory individuals walking the face of Norrath. no offense.

U will rarely have a 2v2 or 1v1 from friends is the lesson here.

On engage expect atleast 2-3 to be otw to turn thr battle in their favor.

My suggestion is 2 fight closer to zonelines when engaging friends when the eventual zerg of friends shows up u will havr a chance 2 escape.
