In EQ Classic the boat from Antonica stopped at the Island of the Sisters first and then proceed through the zone towards the Zachariah Reigh Isle where it docked before zoning into Butcherblock.

In project 1999 the boats enter on the opposite side of the zone, so the boat from Antonica stops at the Zachariah Reigh Isle first and then stops at the Island of the Sisters second before heading to Butcherblock, is there a reason for this?

Spooked me the first time I played on p99.

It's also the wrong boat, but that's because the files for the original can't be found :(

And wasnt there two boats for that route?

edit: Wouldn't happen on Red 99

Yes. It's why the boats take forever here, one boat has to make the whole trip.

But at least the work, mostly. Boats on live never seemed to work.

Because on Live the boats head the wrong direction.

Faydwer is east of Antonica. P99 fixed it so that when you board the boat from Freeport, you travel west-to-east through OOT to Butcherblock, and vice versa.

In my day, you had to swim from Faywder to Antonica, uphill...in the snow...in plate armor.

uphill in both directions if I remember rightly. characters were made of sterner stuff in 1999.

Honestly, I wish that were an option.

You should be able to swim or run with lev. Boats were a good idea but its scary riding one, takes a while and a lot can go wrong. They should have come up with a fix, a ferry you can hire for a small amount of pp or another way to get there that makes sense within the world of EQ.

Were there really two boats in classic? Also, I knew I was right to think that these boats aren't the same as the ones in classic.

In my day I would crash every time I zoned into freeport on the boat. So I would have to hurry up (on a 28.8bps dial up modem... heh... hurry up... get it?) And log back in. Otherwise I would be making another trip through oot.

Definitely. The "one boat" thing really kind of sucks.

Yep there should be two boats and they should look like this:

I would honestly rather see one of the newer models if they exist in Titanium like this one:

Closer to the classic boat by a long shot IMO
