xalgoz is ez just be careful if you just run up and face roll the fight you will have trouble.

Also there are trap doors on the floor that you should be careful to avoid his room below has like 6 or 7 that can train if you dont.

Definitely worth getting if your thinking about doing Spirit of Garzikor quest. Since you need a piece from there iirc. Also no reason not to get the key there are still some decent tradeable drops there and good xp. Its out of the way and at least relatively safe if you want to just do a xp grind session.

It is also good if you want to set up for pvp since you know when someone will be coming at you and there is really only 1 way for them to come for you in most wings. Plenty of pets and if you break their ivu/invis/sneak before they get to you the HT from some of the mobs can soften them before you deal with them then add the pit traps with plenty of dispels.

/shrug think of it as a pvp funhouse.

HS is pretty fun, always feels like what with travelling there and breaking past the harm-touching entrance mobs and whatnot, like you really are on something more adventurous than grinding endless spiders in Velks 10 steps from the Dragon Portal. So, I'd consider it worth it just for a hoot, but yeah Velious loots > Kunark loots, and easier to get, so if loot is your prime goal then steer clear of Kunark.

Or you do what I do. Forget you had a mob rooted and train yourself when xalgoz is at 20%.

Xalgoz is pretty easy. Depending on your class hes soloable at lvl 51 without too much trouble.

As a necro you just lull the mobs in his room, then either wipe them and root rot him. Or you can charm one and use it to kill him (screaming terror him when the first pet dies while you grab the second). Enchanter won't be much different. His HP is fairly low so you could drop a nuke on him to finish him off if the second pet isn't enough to do it.

With root rotting you'd clear the room. Root him. Drop Splurt + bod + ebolt should kill him. Drop those on him then run down ramp behind him so he can't cast on you.

A shaman could do pretty much the same but wouldn't be able to lull, so breaking would be a little tough.

Could do it with 2 people also. 1 person binds at zoneline. That person roots xalgoz and then gates to zoneline. While all the mobs train up. The second person can pumice xalgoz to break root and pull him to safe spot and kill.

Repeat it for the 2nd person if they need and success.

I was gonna say... wtf was the original question? Lol. Just by the title tho, my advice 8s get your ot hammer b4 you do hs. Either kill dragons or do the braid quest
