Priest of Najena

Hey all.

I was just wondering what the spawn time of the Priest and his PH's are on this server... if anyone knows.

I read on http://eqbeastiary.allakhazam.com/search.shtml?id=3657 that it's 52-55 minutes, which seems a little crazy, so I wanted to confirm here. If so, I am totally giving up that cloak.

He was a little bit too rare imo, but spawned more often than he should.

Pending update:
-priest of najena or ph will now spawn every 3300 seconds.
-priest of najena will now be 8% more likely to spawn.

A couple of weeks ago someone said the priest of najena was up, and by the time I got there another caster had already killed it for their cloak. I read some of the comments on the alla thread which stated that the priest placeholder was a longer spawn than normal (the 50-some odd minutes) and that the priest itself only spawned once a day. So I checked the next night, 24 hours later, running to unrest and killing the placeholder. About an hour later, the priest did spawn.

This could be just luck, but the once per day spawn seems to be in line with my experience.

24 hours in a day, 60 minutes in an hour.

24*60= 1440/55= 26.2 spawns a day

at around ~ 33% chance to spawn

you might see him more than once a day. let me know if he needs to be nerfed after patch.

I camped him saturday nite and I got him after approx 6 hours on a 32 or 34 min spawn.

Been camping him about 8 hours now. 52-54 min spawn seems to vary. Havnt seen him once. The guy before me had him on 2nd time. Is this broken?

is he only 1/day or is it a random chance on every respawn? Anyone confirm?

it's random.. i finally got him after hours of bad luck. actually.. i was just running by at about 4am eastern time decided to check it and he was up.. i camped him days for 5-8 hour runs and had nothing..

I still say it's best to just log off right next to his spawn. Managed to kill him again this week soon as i logged in first thing in the morning he was there. Camping that mob is a waste of time, the lowbies leveling in Unrest can't kill it anyway so it always stays up over night.

Sadly the kill was useless to me as when I did the quest several months ago the note was tradeable... but it has since been changed and I was unaware of this. Oh well.

Camped him 14 hours on a Saturday. Spawn was EXACTLY 55 minutes every time. He never spawned. Resumed camp on Sunday and got him first pop. I was very happy.

Were you the mage who got him at like 7:50 AM on Sunday Morning? (Sakra?)

I arrived on Sunday morning, finally found the tower and started to hear him casting... only to hear the Mage kill him shortly after :( So, I settled in to camp, knowing it would be a while.

I can confirm he is NOT a 1/day spawn.
The spawn cycle is 55 minutes
He respawned for me at 5:15PM
When he finally popped, it seems to me that it was a minute or two late?

Sounds like you can count on about a 10 hour camp here, depending on your luck.

It's always better doing it yourself, than taking the "easy route" should any obstacles be in your way! I actually remember doing this quest with Homp back when we were both 30...it took like 4-5 hours just to get one note.

Been camping the Ghoul spawn, next to the stocks, for the last 3 days. I've killed the PH maybe 20-30 times. No priest yet.
