New player looking for community

Hi there!

I am a brand new player to EQ, at the time of me writing this I am a level 3 magician. :P
I'm hoping to find a guild I can join just to help me get the hang of things. Not looking for hand-outs here. Just a place I can ask questions and get a better feel for the game.

In order to give you a guild advice you should state what you want to do in the game. Are you more of a casual player? Do you intend to join the raid scene?

For questions just get into a group and ask your group mates. A lot of people already play for a long time. Or you can simply ask here in this thread, i am sure you will get answers.

Hey Redmage, - Welcome to P99! Mages are an excellent solo and group class, which makes it a very nice class for a starter. When you have some time, check out the Guild Talk forums to see which are recruiting for leveling. There are always groups going in Greater Faydark, which I highly recommend taking advantage of. Grouping will teach you about the game, the abilities that other classes present, and provide you with the ability to hunt in areas where you cannot solo. Also, make use of the wiki.project1999.com (http://wiki.project1999.com/). Best of luck in your adventures!

You can check out our recruitment thread in the guild section for Saga of Lucimia, but we're recently getting started here and have a core of veterans along with some EQ virgins as well, and you might fit right in. Our primary play times are EST mornings and EST evenings, but we've got a few UK players who have a 3-man group going in the afternoons EST time as well.

All under level 20 at the moment, and we're not raiding, just here for community and fun, so look us up in the forums and if you like what you see, hit us up in-game for an invite.
