well imo TMO gotta get tougher, fuck empire and fuck theyre help since u get yted by them when they feel like, set up pvp training, get in contact with some skilled pvpers who can tell u what ure doing wrong and where u can improve as a guild in pvp, stop being pussy, man up and if people come to fuck up ur raid just forget about the raid an go full pvp mode. U guys have the numbers, just get better in pvp, a bit better, call proper targets in mass pvp etc and ull be able to contest even empire.

atm u guys dont mind diein and thats good, u engage unlike other guilds who would asked the people to camp over untill the danger has passed so they can keep raiding. do ur thing guys and fight anyone who gets in the middle, ur teamspeak is also very quiet and chill during pvp so thats a good thing, i think u guys have all what is needed to suceed but u really need to get into pvp in a more serious manner.

reminds me of last time we showed up to phara dar, instead of staying in the fight longer and possibly winning while eating yellow text, they all zoned out as soon as they were focused

all but two or three of our guys stayed in and ate the death, allowing us to rez them back in instead of being locked out of VP

i don't understand the point in purposely losing the fight just so a 3rd party leaderboard shows that you have one less death?

That is pretty simple actually. Years of losing mobs has conditioned them to except YT advantage as a victory condition. It is one of those weird R99 things where both sides can feel they won the battle, because how they define victory is completely different.

Thats what also makes it lame because if one team wins the mob they say won, but if the other team gets more yt; they say they won.

I personally would base mass pvp on who gets the mob (what initiated the mass pvp and brought people together to fight).

EQ is a PvE game; thus a PvP server could be concluded to be a PvEvP version of EQ.

pd: u cant win a pvp after warmbodying in a raid for 2h, u just cant cos u wont be properly buffed in the right order etc, people just go semi afk on those kind of raids and let buffs go away and just rebuff in a shitty way, then pvp happens and noone is fucking rdy, if u think it doesnt makes a difference.

It also destroyed alot of the fun; people plugging at 90% is a joke to avoid a YT.

That last video Colgate put up was pretty good example.
5 SK's and 5 Wizards fast dpsing easy targets down for yt while everyone else plugs out at 50%+ to avoid been yt'd.

So you end up with one team getting 3 yt's and a mob and the other team 8 yts and no mob but both feel they won.

exactly. the point of pvp on this server is to control or deny content. if their force engaged to disrupt your raid and failed at doing so, they've lost. regardless of the fact that their side had less casualties.

Well, something we agree on.

Typically though on R99 the bigger "zerg" force could give two shits about K/D ratio and just overwhelms an opponent, which is a completely legit strategy. However, the smaller more PVP aligned guilds will get a a half dozen YTs and bail and them proclaim victory due to the fact they got like 10 kills to 8 or something.

I guess as long as everyone is happy everyone wins right?
