The one time I dipped my foot in the MUD pool (hehe, mud pool) I remember twice having 2 parties of 6ish enter my starting area and move off all at the same time.

groups in muds auto follow the group/party leader in everyone i've ever played. Still probably tons of multiboxing though depending on the mud

people also AFK on blue server and in most MUDs. the population numbers on blue in particular are very inflated with AFK's and ec tunnelers.

I still remember the first time I tried a MUD a couple years back...
It was some MUD called ANSImud, that was essentially MUD minecraft using ASCII and basic scripting.
It seemed to have a pretty nice playerbase at first, then I met one of the most famous builders on ANSI, he made some pretty great shit.
I will never forget that scenario where he locked me into a coffin with a mummy who had "a flavorful poop".

i'll run the numbers again later, but it's looking like your opinion is wrong and most people would rather play a MUD than the red server.

last time i played a MUD in 1980 I was asked to join a group and put on /follow the person running the group typed a few macros in and we cleared the whole mud on autopilot whie i just spammed a magic missile macro.

At that point MUDs lost their immersion factor for me. At some point video games and books did too later in life. Now I can separate reality from MUDs.

If a parent does this to a child, either way, it's wrong :( I do not condone the slave/chattle/feudal mentality most of us older than 30 were raised with. And for newer generations to perpetuate the same behavior in the name of social justice is wrong and evil.
