<Taken> is a raiding guild of Project 1999, with emphasis on quality over quantity.

High-end raiders 15 years ago, we are now a semi-hardcore guild. We created a friendly environment of mature players who still want to take down the strongest targets out there.

We want members who fit well into our family, not just warm bodies.

Progressing through Velious, we are seeking like-minded ambitious individuals who are drama-free, motivated and mostly looking to have a good-time whilst experiencing the highest content.

Being casual is fine, as long as you work on your toons and follow directions. <Taken> respects your family / work schedule / any RL obligation.
We use a DKP system, with exceptions for epics only: control your investments, do not trust any loot council.

Having alts is a big part of the P99 experience, and we promote that. In <Taken>, you may chose to declare a certified alt, and gear up a second character for our roster's versatility. You may not get the highest pixels on that toon, but you will have a strong second raider.

Or if you really want to dedicate yourself to classic you could dig deep and uncover no compelling evidence that Velious dungeons allowed binding ever (http://www.project1999.com/forums/showthread.php?t=220471). Imagine the state of raiding if you all bind spots were to go away!

The obvious thing to do IMO: footraces in TOV just like VP. Do you DA bomb in on your necromancer? Sneak in on your rogue? Flop around on your monk and hope the other players fuck up? There would actually be a decent bit of strategy too, when the moron next to you sets off AEs and breaks everyone's sneak/FD etc. Or do you try to move as a team and cleverly sacrifice players? Plus it removes 1/3 of the manpower required to track each target.

If we really wanted to improve things, creating any sort of train would no longer be allowed, in any zone. "But Culkasi, then we can't kill 15-20 mobs every weekend, it would take too much time if we had to clear down in NToV". Guess what? That would mean the enjoyment of P99 Velious would last so much longer for all of you, because instead of getting all the loot you need in a month, it would take a year, and on top of that, more people would get a shot at content, no random non-raider would get trained at zonelines because of nerds, and, most importantly, the server would be a much nicer place.

Just some food for thought - think about the longevity of the server, and your guilds, not who has the biggest e-penis this week.
If you think your guild would crumble because they don't get to train the shit out of every raid zone 10 times a week in the attempt to be able to point fingers at the other side, maybe, just maybe, your guild should actually crumble?
Coth races are a strain on your guild, just decide not to do it, take the high road, be the change you want to see, but it doesn't really have an impact on the server health, just on yours - constant training and douchebaggery on the other hand is a strain on the server and should flat out not be allowed, and you shouldn't have to play lawyerquest to stop it.

TL;DR Stop allowing trains to be a viable strategy for any mobs - you aggro a mob, you kill it. Of course, if you can aggro 30 mobs in NToV and burn them down while you also kill Vulak, totally viable strategy - dumping them all at the WW exit, not so much.

Taken are good people, this post has nothing to do with them, was just a reflection on the raid environment since that conversation is now opened, and in a forum where Europa sort of has a voice.

If any guild, I don't care who, had the balls to CotH race Kerafyrm for Yelinak and succeeded and snipe Yelinak with a dragon that Death touches , Quads for 6000 and Flurries bearing down on them Id have to give them kudo's for shear balls alone.

We didn't try to snipe Yelinak, just cothed a couple of us down to turn in KT heads. By that time Kerafyrm was already in the library though, and was fast approaching. Couple that with needing to repeatedly cast an atone stick to get his aggro to wipe from some people hanging out around the door in order to even get the turn in done, and it's quite a stressful situation. Mission accomplished though!
