Only want to fix a couple of things -

Belt, Add in the Purity Belt. I used that in the planes before i got my planes belt. The reed belt is basically unobtainable at the moment and we should discard Bilge and Pzjn to be completely honest with you. If no one has it on the server, its unobtainable by one group.

Mask, Take away polished mithril mask. That drop will never go to a wis caster, primarily because its tough to find much better, even with raid equipment for Intelligence casters. A druid should look for the Plat ruby veil and not much else.

Shoulders - Braided ivy Coords. Im using them now, they're obtainable, i can farm them anytime i want. so its not too hard.
Shoulders - Prayer Shawl of tunare (i think thats the name)

Chest - Brown Chitin Protector. One of the harder group mobs to nab and camp, it can be done.

12 to 1 under 200 at 50, 6 to 1 over 200 at 50. Definitely for clerics. I'll try to dig up some ancient EQ clerics posts later.

According to the folks over at hackersquest the amount of mana you get per wisdom over is drastically reduced. From all accounts I've seen its around 1 wis = 1.5 mana or there abouts. GZ admitted there was a soft cap at 200 but refused to give any details.



From the post I seen at Graffe (never looked to close into it) and people posted here so is it not giving anything worth noticing. A guess and nothing else would be 3m / wis or so. Only based on the 12m to 200, 6m to 255 and then 3m above (=.



The first is from 2000, the second from 2002.

So I was wrong; the 6 mana from 200-255 was after Kunark.

Am I off or is this wrong though? My INT is at 198, if I removed a piece that adds 15 INT it drops my mana by 143 - from my testing in game at 50 a point of intelligence is worth like 9.5 mana, much less than the 12 you guys are talking about here.

I would say the 7str 7wis JC mask would do much better for a paladin than the grotesque.

Go max +cha. It affects your mezzes, lulls, and charm and is incredibly effective at high levels. You don't even have to worry about charm breaking once you hit ~180+ cha unbuffed. Tash, stun, charm. When tash wears off, /pet sit, move away, /pet go away tash, stun, charm.

First all of, please respell Wizard

Im not sure if Polished Mithril Mask should be considered easily obtainable by everyone. It is raid loot and drops on Magi, the last FG. Dont exactly see pugs farming magi; and unlike the crystal you can't just buy it. If you don't include it then everyone had Sheer Bone Mask before that which is extremely easily obtainable.

If your manapool is too high kunark is a great expansion to begin transitioning to HP, at least by the time you get canni3 and definitely before torpor. There's no reason at all at this point to have over 140-150 wisdom. Always keep a regen bp, either fungi, iksar ceremonial, or rubi in that order, until you get your vindi bp in velious

Need help filling in the blanks. Please limit it to (subjectively) 'good' gear that is actually obtainable by most people. As in, single group drops and such. No one needs to know a specific item off a permanently farmed raid boss or whatever is good for them, they'll know when it drops and they are there.

Some of what you posted is fine because in theory you can by them off of somebody if you have tons of platinum and somebody is selling one (example: bladestopper). But the no drop Planes stuff does not fall into that catergory.

Personally I use Platinum Skull Rings - an insignificant amount of mana for greater surivability.

This is of course all up to personal preference and your race/base int. Some may need Batskulls/IV hoop/7int 7str neck instead of black sapphire jewelry.

Pri and secondary the list is too big, tons of options items there, but for a necro starting out I would strongly recommend the Sol Temple quests (harvester/words of darkness). Super easy and can knock multiple quests out at once.

For wizards, there is also a quest for Tishan's Kilt, which will beat out black chitin leggings for pre-raid gear. Unless you need the resists, they're arguably better than Cryosilk/Carmine as well. It took maybe an hour to complete the quest.

For what it's worth, druids can currently wear this item. I think that is changed later on.
