imbued platinum fire ring worth it?

Was going to be starting a wizard as soon as I can get some gear for him. Is it worth it to get a set of these rings for him? It has great intel and mana boost but -16 strength seems like quite a burden.

As a wizard i wouldn't mind but I dont play a wizard nor have ever played one, I assume it would be fine since wizards arent in need of STR

Get the +str +int ears and neck from jewelcrafting and you'll be fine.

Yes, it's worth it. My wizard had two on Live; they're both very good rings. I used them for a long, long time.

Hefty boost in int, and raw mana.

Worth it. Offset str with other items and weight reduction bags!

the STR is a bonus

Why not? They don't cost like 5k per ring or whatever. And how else are you going to twink your caster?

On Live it's not exactly like I waited until endgame for these rings. I had two by the 30s. Any person who had a high level character already could have purchased them easily for their own twink.

I feel like people have no sense of perspective here about what Live was really like during this era. Maybe it was too long ago for most to remember.
