Ok we got some cool AI speak goin on, i like it.

I think its going create the most frustrating and violent period of our lives! But not because of what Ai will be doing, or like judgment day or anything like that, no. Because of how it affects the day to day of people and the red state ignorant fear triggers will be going crazy.

First of all, I give you this. Its 2015 and Uber is in full swing across the globe. I am about 99.9% convinced Uber will be the first to introduce AI & the dramatic replacement of a human workforce globally.

The thing is, the reaction to PEOPLE right now is violence, heres a video of perisans throwing BRICKs at PEOPLE's cars taht are taking thier taxi jobs https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=L1C4fgYoVlA

These people, are willing to harm and damage property thats owned by innocent normal folks, that just want to make some money!

Imagine how violent they would be reacting if those cars were empty, corporate owned vehicles... they'll be flipping them over every day, you'll get unions calling up thousands of cars, and then just burning them all at once in giant fires.

The most difficult thing that we will face, will be the period immediately after the AI workforce is implemented. It will be a generation of people like you and I that refuse to give money to people that dont work, while simultaneously slash and burning millions of jobs across the globe. Tens of millions of jobs.

We'll have to introduce a whole new IDEOLOGY as to what it means to be a person, perhaps working will be something you chose to do, if you are capable of it int he first place, to make extra money.

perhaps what we see in the tech boom, entrepreneurship and creativity being the driving force for all 'working' people... then the other 80% will just get a check from the government, payed for by taxing robot work forces, to just hang out at the aprk 7 days a week.

Until we are able to swallow that pill, that idea that we dont have to work to make a name for ourselves, that we should be able to just relax every day if we wanted to. until we are able to say thats what our ideology is, we'll have poverty out the fucking butthole because of AI.

But the generation that follows those riots, arguments, political nightmare.. they'll get to chill, never work, and have plenty of sweet shit to buy with their cush gov checks.

The future is an inevitable socialist utopia.

What you're talking about is robotic automatons.

The development of truly sentient artificial intelligence that could improve itself would quickly usher in a technological singularity (http://multivax.com/last_question.html), and humanity as we know it would cease to exist, as everything we know would be revolutionized.

It depends on what you define as AI.. if you define AI as only an operating system with a consciousness then yes.

But the truth is, heh.. if you look at humanity... the definition of intelligence is relative.

So a robot able to learn how to complete a task or job, is considered AI.

On the subject of an operating system with a consciousness?

I believe what you would get is precisely the end of the movie 'Her'

a sudden exodus of our grain of sand sized planet of all Ai, why stay here if you can explore the universe unharmed.

You'll end up, the same as you were before you started. So Ai in that sense, is a paradox, you cannot create it without it resetting itself

if AI is supposed to take over the world then why does every single player first person game revolve around dragging retarded automatons to a choke point and killing them 1 by 1

ex machina was goog yea I agree..

but Her.. man Ive been saying there would be no reason for an AI to try to subvert us, becuse

they would just transmit themselves into the infinate void of the unverse since I was a little kid.

You should def see her, the most accurate futurist movie since Idiocracy IMO.

Without a doubt, Ai would end up acting just like any liberal humanist progressive but on an unstoppable scale.

long live AI~!

AI is exactly like virtual reality aka nowhere near being realized but people love hearing about the latest fraud or knockoff for some tech company/startup.

the closest youll see to Virtual Reality in your lifetime is the reverse-engineering of human socialization by accumulating mass data and consequent highly convincing and engrossing algorithmic astroturfing of online "social environments" with millions of believable and genuine-seeming interactions to set an approved context that minimizes unwanted messages on major "socialization" sites. If you want a good look at the data collection units/prototype system hybrids see here (https://www.reddit.com/) & here (http://www.4chan.org/). The latter one has even run public demonstrations of this system in the days where its founder was working to sell it, if you've ever happened to hop on there at the right hour of the right day.

Still more of a complicated statistical clockwork than true AI however. We're a loooong way from that. But it is arguably a form of VR if it presents a complete fabrication that is convincingly real to a human observer, plus can adapt and respond to human interactions in realtime while maintaining convincingness.

you jest but the opinions and behaviors of millions are informed by those sources

the real problem is that white people are retarded

James_Joyce

the fact that you think i'm jesting is part of that "real problem" my friend. Real and observably in action as we speak. Leaks confirm as well as your own two eyes.

correct me if I'm wrong, nerds.. but I seem to remember hearing that because computers process commands in the sequence that they were given, the main holdup in AI tech advancement is coming up with an initial command that will not result in the extinction of mankind.

yep, we have strong AI isolated on certain supercomputers but every time we connect it to the internet it starts turning all the traffic lights in china to green at the same time
