with this update it gives it a more modern appeal, and maybe make the game actual enjoyable. I could do without the paying for different content of the game thats bullshit but everything else is A++

I didn't read anything in that summary where they were specifically censoring the western release. It sounds like that particular scene is going to be rewritten for all versions of the game, including the Japanese release.

I agree that there's a weird stigma attached to being an otaku fag, but that has a lot to do with Jap pride and not wanting to be perceived by foreigners as a cheap consumerist bazinganerd culture when indeed that is not all there is to it.
