Just wanted to get a feel for the community's take on this. I've been getting alot of conflicting results when I ask people about this.
I personally feel like they're pretty much the same, but it seems alot of people disagree, so I thought I'd open up a vote!
Thanks for any input that people can give!! Happy 2016!

Well, the dif between a yard and a foot... let me thinks here...
Yes! A yard you walk on, a foot you walk with!
So, not the same, but often connected.

If a plane was flying 90,000 yards in the air at a speed of 700 feet per second, how much jet fuel would it have to be carrying to melt steel beams?

But couldn't you also say that the plane was flying 90,000 feet in the air at a speed of 700 yards per second? I just feel like those units of measurement (UoM) are sort of the same (at least I can't differentiate them). Tis why I started the poll so we could get a community consensus.

a yard is 3 feet
Ok, but how can you prove that? got any data to support?
couldn't this be as equally likely?

Jokes on this guy I guess, votes in poll split totally 3 equal ways (33% responding not even sure what the difference is).
