Hi folks!

I played p1999 for a couple days on Red but the solitude got to me...

So! I'm coming back to blue :) fresh start.

Any advice on classes/races to pick for the most social experience possible? So tired of one click, button mashing raids in SWTOR...

Thanks!

Nal

Healers / tanks are always the most groupable (so clerics, druids, shamans, SKs, warriors, pallys). I can't speak about high levels though since I haven't gotten there yet (or raids).

Always pick what you want to play.

If you want a group, dont roll a wizard. And druids are fun but after mid 30s its hard to find a group and after 55 its impossible. Best classes to get a group quickly: enchanter, cleric, tank (war/pal/sk), rogue, monk, or bard.

edit: if you want a "social" experience with different roles to play, consider a druid. You wont get grouped as much but you will meet half the server and make money by porting people, druids have several roles they can fill, and you can still duo/trio with people if groups arent there.

A skilled Enchanter is always welcomed in any group.
My particular favorite class is Magician. Adds great DPS to any group and can solo as well as any other class in the game.
But the best advice anyone can give you is:
PLAY WHAT YOU WANT.
If you have skillz, you will always be welcome to group. At least with me.

So, new to EQ? Yes, just play what seems to interest you most, it's hard to go wrong here early on. Don't worry about lvl60, just get familiar with the game world and watching how classes work in your groups. By the time you hit 20 or 30, you'll have a better idea what to play and some funds to start a main character if you choose some other class than what you initially started with. Make sure you visit the p99 wiki, read up on the starter guides etc, EQ is very deep compared to most modern day casual mmo's.
