Hiya!

I'm in need of some computer help!

I'm trying to take some screenshots and can't, for the life of me, find where they are being stored.

I'm using Windows 7, which I'm not familiar with and kinda think that might be the problem.

Anyways, I don't have a "Screenshots" folder under Sony>Everquest like I heard I should. So I go ahead and make one... yet screenshots still don't end up there.

I've done an entire computer search for bmp files, nothing.

Backtracking a bit, I pushed the minus sign on the number pad, chat says "Taking a screenshot..." in yellow, yet nothing.

Am I missing something besides an unintoxicated blood stream?

Thanks in advance!

I don't have windows 7 so I don't know how to do it for you, but unhide your folders. in windows XP, AppData is a hidden folder.

i run Win7 and mine are where they should be
C:\Program Files (x86)\Sony\EverQuest\Screenshots

Do you have 2 folders of EQ somewhere, like maybe in your windows.old if you didnt fully reformat and running it from there instead of x86?

I have the SAME problem. Still can't figure it out.

I just do a print screen and save it to paint. :(

No "AppData" under C:\Users\<USER_NAME>

Its a hidden folder. Either type it in the address bar or enable show hidden folders. This is the correct location unless you run Everquest as administrator.

go to control panel /folder options.
Then go to the view tab.
Select show hidden files and folders.

I simply press Print Screen button on my keyboard, open Paint application and paste my Screen Shot there. You can save it and edit it if you like in Photoshop as well to bring up brightness, contrast and color. Let me know if this helps. This is a poor man's Screen Shot taking in case u need it for documenting KSer in your camp lol.

Could you just search for the file name? IE EQ000000, EQ000001...., and find the directory from there?

So I just logged back in and my UI was reset, my friends list is missing and so is all the text from my /note. The only thing I did was unhide the folders. I can't figure out how to fix this either. Fuck

Go to C: type in screenshot within the search .

Great, everyone, thank you!

After I enabled "Show Hidden Files" as Ektar and guineapig suggested, they were located in:

C:\Users\<USER_NAME>\AppData\Local\VirtualStore\Program Files (x86)\Sony\EverQuest\Screenshots

as Deanob suggested.

Thanks again for all the help!

Edit: Oh ya. Getting to "Show Hidden Files" is a little different in Win7. It's Start > Control Panel > Appearance and Personalization > Folder Options > View (tab) > "Show hidden files, folders, or drives."

Also, the "Search" function still won't return results bmp files even with "Show Hidden Files". I even went as far as to unhide the main folder, nada. Probably something needs to be clicked somewhere.

No way man, it was a team effort.

You told them why they can't find it, and I gave the instructions on how to make more better. :D
