This new (old) human vision is fucking bullshit. I've turned up my gamma and brightness all the way I still can't make my way through butcherblock....a clear fucking night with a million stars out and it's pitch black?! Horseshit.

agreed with FP. I'm gonna need to see the fraps before we rush to conclusions.

Show us the fraps!

a simple before and after really would take this thread out of the realm of wild speculation and into meaningful discussion territory

Being a human whenever the sun goes down I make sure to always have my night vision goggles handy since apparently I am a pure melee and can't cast any spells? It sucks to have to go everywhere at night with NV goggles.

I am not familiar with Butcherblock. However, the island of Sodor can get quite dark at night.

Keep in mind, over time CRT monitors do lose brightness. Might be time to upgrade that 19" Dell monitor from '97.

Depends on the reptile. There are species that have much better vision than humans at night, and can see ultraviolet. Some are quadrochromatic, rather than trichromatic like us, and see yellows better. Some have a "third eye." In general, they're able to see smaller objects at greater distances much better than we can.

human vision is actually pretty shit in general. we have decent color detection, but we can't see UV or infared spectrum light like 4-5 cone animal species can. and our night vision is pretty much terrible.

if u look at the player models, iksars clearly have slit-shaped pupils which would indicate they likely see in black-and-white but have very strong night vision.
