Male performers are generally a much smaller pool (less than 100 actively working in LA industry).
A desirable, popular male performer will be paid $500-$1000 for a boy/girl scene, depending on the studio and what their budget is. A brand new guy might get $200-$500.


Men are also far more likely to be pressed into performing in a scene that does not match their gender identity and orientation.

Just as it is outrageous that higher demand for naked women should somehow entitle women to higher compensation, it is equally absurd that lower average ROI for female employees due to maternity combined with less aggressive wage negotiation should result in lower compensation for women.

Would be interested in seeing the metrics for gay men in this field. I would wager they would be comparable to women. Looks like we may not be seeing things clearly and straight men are the ones actually getting the shaft....
