Anyone suggest a decently priced item that will give decent night vision? Even if the stat is just ultravision or whatever. Anything will help, I cannot get around at all at night being a human monk. Greater lightstone isn't really helping at all.

There is a ring called glowing stone band or something, fairly common, and grants serpent sight when equipped. Prolly cost like 100p tops if that, and I think it drops in befallen at about lvl 20, not certain, been a long time.

Wait so did they remove the perma-ultravision that was hardcoded into the titanium client? Usually it's not on as soon as you log in, it seems like it takes ~20 seconds or so for some reason and then suddenly, bam, ultravision out of nowhere.

That's pretty sweet if they managed to remove it, being blind as hell and being relieved when you get a serpent sight\ultravision from somebody is classic as HELL.

Oh they definitely did. If it's night now I'm using loc and maps to figure out where to go also turning off the room lights and squinting a lot which really doesn't help much. I played a dwarf rogue in classic. Do they have better than normal vision? Cause I never remember it being this bad.

The Split Paw Hide Mask is cheap has some descent stats and helps with night sight (built in light source?) although it does not list this effect.

This is a great change. I logged on my banker mule and couldn't differentiate people in the tunnel I had to ask for a summoned vision item. Just one more reason Iksar monks are better than human monks.

Cool mechanic though, and a great reason to think twice about your racial choices, you filthy humans.

Yeah, I logged in on my low level human druid and went "Oh hey... I have a spell for this"

It was nice.
