I have an AR Parrot 2.0 I just started messing with. I will be using it recreation as well as a project for uni. Eventually I will be developing some kind of geo tagging system but for now I am just playing with it. Anyone other drone pilots/programmers out there? Currently I am looking at using node.js and possibly some stuff with ROS.

I feel like drones should be restricted to restricted air space, not anywhere near people or property. Just like rockets and bombs and guns are.

That's actually an amazing idea. Work out an interface with Occulus Rift and you'd be set!

I saw a dude down the block fly his drone up about 50 or 60 feet then it flipped upside down, hit full throttle and hit the ground.

I was surprised he didn't throw the controller down after that.

the thing i do not like about my drone so far is anyone can connect to it mid flight if they know how to. i imagine a lot of drones are like this. if you see one, try it.

nice idea, i'd assume it would work like... having a back pack or something on the back of your shirt, then using an arduino with its own camera attached to the drone, have it pin point that spot on your back and then the arduino sends the appropriate controls to the drone to maintain proper distance. then axe someone down irl and upload it for us
