I got a notification on Facebook today saying that someone had posted on the equal FB page. Some guy posted that the EQMac.com domain subscription was going to be let go of and the owner is willing to pass it on to anyone who wants it for free.

I'm not sure how to contact developers here, but as far as marketing P99 goes, it could be a powerful tool to have a redirect from that url pointing here. Could bring in many new faces for relatively low cost.

I've attached a screenshot of the owners post. If any of the Devs are interested, let me know and I can get his contact info.

Thanks

I'd be happy to take this over and even host up a copy of the old eqmac forums if they are available, for preservation and reading material.

Sometimes the tin foil hat is on just a bit to tight.

Prolly forgot to turn off auto-renew. That stuff gets processed a bit ahead of time before it starts it's abandonment cycles. Mine start almost 2 months in advance on auto.

From the website:

As of Monday June 23, 2014 EQMac.com and the associated forums have been shut down.

We have had a fine 10-year run, but with SOE's decision to shutter Everquest's Mac edition, the need for this site has disappeared. We would like to thank all of the fine players who made the EQMac community something unique in the world of MMORPGs.

For those of you who would like a digital memento of EQMac.com, links to download all the phpBB files to reproduce this forum, as well as a copy of the SQL database containing all the data will appear here soon.

Thanks, and good bye.
Nikolai, EQMac owner and administrator

Yea it got renewed. That's fine though, If he still wants to dump it, I'll pay him for the year he paid and take it.

That was posted January 31st,

per this thread, the EQMacEmu team has already message Nikolai, which I believe are the better successors of this domain name, since they are the ones who built the pc connect hack, collected tons of packets, and parsed community logs to recreate the AK mechanics.
