Bards kiting in PC populated zones (Oasis)

So, a nice little Cleric spent over 45 minutes to an hour benefitting from a bard named Lyghtnyng pulling the entire zone from xp groups. I got to pull 1 mob for my group after mobs spawned before this guy comes across and pulls everything in front of us. then spent the time waiting on respawn basically saying none of us in zone could legitimately say anything about it. there were 24 people in zone, 2 of which kept the rest from xping. I don't care about PLing, it's allowed. But there are rules to keep them from pulling xp mobs from groups isn't there? Please do something about this

stfu and go to a different zone. Oasis isn't the only place you can level at level 19 or whatever the fuck level you are.

Roll a ranger, run in front of the bard using tracking and a bow :P
It actually works, I've run bard swarm kiters out of zones using my ranger, or get them to log. You can't melee them all down (though 10x faster than a swarm kite bard) but you pull enough out of their way that they get frustrated over lack of good mobs and leave. Works well enough in oasis or karanas etc.

Tactic is legit, it's not like you are using a server bug to get lazy ass easy kills like the bard who runs everyone else out of the zone. You just need some good equip to hack stuff down, pull away their best mobs. Prob is they hold-up respawns with their pathetically slow kites and kills, while other players could have made the mob respawn 2-4x more often.

There is no one to do anything about it but you, as long as that strafing/pathing bug exists. The only alternative is as they say "consider red" where at least you can kill the lazy ass bard.

yes, there are rules. next time this happens, petition. a gm will take care of things. pnp says you can't monopolize the zone.

And yeah, you can petition too, if there is someone on to deal with it. Grab some screen shots or vids if no support is on. But hell, sticking it back at em is more fun, I don't like bards here that swarm kite, too much bs over the years. It's not the bards that are bad, just the people playing them that do that.

You'll get no argument here. But it's worth the change of pace, risk IMO. It's desolate and lonely more often then not. wouldn't hurt to have a few friends test the water with you :-)
