Would recommend Dirt Nasty and Mickey Avalon (saw them in Dallas this weekend at Trees).
I found an Irish folk singer I really like named Frank Turner.
There is a white R&B guy named Chet Faker that I am kind of into (Listen to “gold” and his cover of “yo diggity”).
Still really into the Turnpike Troubadours right now as well.

But yea this thread will most likely die due to a thread exactly like this made by Emperor Rogean

It's a different topic.

Electric Wizard is pretty good. Black Sabbathy doom.
*the chosen few
*another perfect day

Im also pissed Carina Round never got incredibly popular. Her album the disconnection was amazing.
* into my blood

That's a pretty useless thread. It's like tweeting except people care even less about what you have to say.

I've been listening to Steel Panther.

Honestly though, nobody cares what you or I or anyone are listening to, no matter the thread.

So most of the threads in Off Topic then? Though no character limit so I guess this forum section is like Livejournal

They're awesome. Fuck the haters. I've seen them live a couple times and they destroyed.

Shit on it all you want, I've found some good music in that thread.

Honestly though, nobody cares what you or I or anyone are listening to, no matter the thread.

Your skill in cynicism has increased.

I'll post some local stuff, I guess.

Old Scratch - if you put Kill Em All era Metallica, Overkill era Motorhead, a little bit of Dave Mustaine without the opinions, and a three piece into a blender. Might not be anyone here's thing, but they put on a good enough live show that I regularly take out of towners to see them.

Aloha Broha - more on the punk side of things. Great live band. They tour frequently. Fun guys. Another three piece.

Fire Marshal Bill - my personal favorite. Such an eccentric band. I really don't know how to describe them, they mix elements of jam bands, ska, metal, jazz, and psychedelia. I recommend Neverland and Jambalaya.

My 12 year old daughter is all about The Cab. I love that none of her friends have ever heard of them. They are much better than the music most girls listen to. Maybe you'll like them too? Maybe you won't? The answer is irrelevant. They are new to me, and that is what this topic is about. :)
