I am not sure about how I feel over the reboot of the original. While I am fine with the all female team some of the preview just left me shaking my head.

I have this weird opinion of Reboots or remakes of movies. I feel like if it isn't broken don't fix it there are so many movies that they could have remade that were horrible the first time around for one reason or another.


I will withhold my final opinion on the movie until I have a chance to watch it.

really sad thing is, they could have taken this cast and made something original and made a lot of money and people happy at the same time. this reboot everything mentality of Hollywood is sickening.

Thank you I dont feel quite so bad being unhappy about it before the movie is released. At least I know I am not the only one.

Feel like they are trying to use the love for the original to help sell this one throwing a few big name stars in to help sell it. Unless something has changed none of the original actors were willing to be in this one which imo tells you alot about a remake.

It is only considered racist or chauvinist now because perspectives have changed since the movie was made. It is like anything else it might be acceptable today but not tomorrow. Or vice versa.

The movie was a comedy it was meant to be fun and funny. The makers and actors in that movie didn't go into it saying hey lets make a movie that offends people. I will agree though that they screwed Ernie Hudson based off an interview he gave about the part he was originally offered.


The reboot(remake) is an abomination for the simple fact instead of doing something original they decided to take an idea and remake it the exact opposite instead of fixing it they just reversed the cycle. The original movie had a very strong following almost cult like in some cases which didnt differentiate by color or gender. They are taking someone else's movie and using the name and idea to sell tickets.
