The good thing about that server is you don't need a solid crew. You can play casually and do fine.

I doubt anyone will come over with what you would consider a solid crew because it is a very casual server but I don't think that will set people back that much. They may have to grind out PvP points a bit longer since they will miss out on the easy kills but no rush if this server is really going on for 6 month.

Day 1 in 50 range will probably be a slaughter with epics being bought but everyone should catch up in a couple weeks.

Nah just titanuk without more playing than Dontbrag, catching up to us with all the other people on my side nonstop feeding... Think in 3hours they got something like 50-60 kills was lol... We enjoy the comp tho, and it might get better if there is a 3rd team in place.

I was looking into buying it on PC but its got a whole bunch of not recommended's filling the front page on steam. Lots of bugs and a repetitive grinding seem to be a main complaint. I played it at a friends house on XBOX and while I don't think its a "bad" game, it did not really seem like anything special.

We had only had 3 mains there against 8 of you coming in, and no buffs. The mains there bound and gated to nexus for buffs while nukeduck and stubbs ran from BB, but you guys had already left.

Its not that type of server. Its custom pvp, so its pvp oriented. Leveling 1-20 is a few hours with a good group in crushbone etc.

Just putting that out there. It also uses Nexus, so travel is easy. The low time investment and casual group vs group pvp is what has attracted people to the Zek box.

it was a junk item for a donation to help server costs and it was years ago. what items could they possibly sell that would affect your fun now? the time investment is extremely low. the server is basically custom quake with elves.

the staff has improved since 2013 or I wouldn't play here.

Its not classic-classic tho, its classic custom pvp.

it plays entirely different and its pvp-centric which deemphasizes longevity.

Its more like clicking into a quake server than an EQ server. You play a short session get your fix and log. Ill take kicking some ass for 2 hours with my crew over slogging camps on r99 with absolutely no pvp.

did I mention red99 has no pvp?

naw he rolls around with a druid on auto follow, he chain roots with the druid while afk dpsing on the monk. i watched him kill 4 people in south ro like that in less than 5 minutes.

He seemed a little too good at 2boxing. MQ is "disabled" here via the custom eqpvp.com client but you can get a private version of it that will hook into the client. Its a one-line code fix to retrack it and make it hook, but it is not publicly available.

I was thinking of maining cleric or shaman, and was wondering if having a healer class played exclusively would allow me to fully partake in most of the fun aspects of the server?

They can blind (no one has MR)
Bash
the can complete heal at level 30 (Superior heal =cheal right now)
nukes land (no mr)
