Ok so, I obviously hate myself attempting an int/wis based trade skill with a melee toon. Brewing is super cheap but skill-ups past 189 are absolutely painful (mino brew gaaaah).
After 100 combines and no skill-up, I'm breaking down and looking for suggestions on cheap all/all gear with +int, available in tunnel preferably.

Going in for the easy ones....
+4 int rings
+7 int necklace
Stein of Moggok (+10)
That's +25 for cheap (for the JC ones, get a JC pal to combine the mats you bring them rather than paying a premium to the tunnel fat cats)

Cheaper to go wisdom. I had the same idea before velious dropped and priced out both routes. I'm sure someone not on a smart phone could post a decent list.

wis is definitely cheaper, but I'm rolling on a gnome so my wis is pretty shit (but 98 int naked)
lots of good options here, I may opt for a full smart suit at some point soon (already picked up a few pieces in tunnel). thanks gang!

In addition to your gear you can also have an Enchanter cast an INT buff on you to help too.

I maxed brewing on Cecily (wood elf rogue) using about 148 wisdom. Would definitely recommend getting as much cheap wis / int gear as you can afford. Pottery and brewing were definitely WAY more painful than they were on my druid, but, honestly, mino hero brews are just pain incarnate regardless. I wish you luck if you're going for 248.
WIS might be more accessible for a rogue than INT is since shamans are also chain. Check out rogue gear on the wiki.. Sort it by stat and total up each slot with affordable gear to see which is better for you. My gut says INT because racial boost though.
And as Luminous said, getting an Enlightenment will be seriously helpful. I'd try to stay buffed for as much of your tradeskilling as possible. DEX buffs for poison / fletching, STR buffs for smithing.

Welp, many thanks again gang. after picking up a few cheap int items and then looking over the formula for skillups on eq traders... I decided (for brewing because it's cheap as hell) to just brute force it and deal with it instead of investing more pp. For brewing I didn't see gaining a 2% chance to skill up being worth it (since after sellbacks, minos cost basically nothing).
I obviously hate myself, but... brewing 248 :) - I think I may have spent 300p total on combines 1-248... had a good number of veggie stacks stock piled from my druid as well.
So glad poison/fletching is on dex... pottery I'll only go as high as thurg pots for now, but will revisit these options again once I'm 50+ (lvl 20 atm, was finding something to do while I waited for a friend to catch up).

Did you cap already? Congrats! Rest those wrists. I was developing carpal tunnel symptoms a couple years ago going heavy on Velious prep trade skilling. No game is worth RL health problems. Look up carpel tunnel exercises if you notice them aching. Can prevent it getting serious if you ease up and do the exercises regularly.

Thanks C you rock :)
I actually made myself go out and group tonight after pulling myself away from the pottery... I should make it a point to not bother with it again until closer to 30 when I'll be ready for thurg gate pots!
Somehow I didn't end up with any kind of residual pain from the grind a day later :)
