I played the beta, its as clean (play control wise) as it looks visually. it feels like butter controls, definitely one of the more smoother fps of the bunch.

They do allow voice chat actually. They're adding voice features to Battle.net even.

Anyway, I've been playing Overwatch since late last year, and it does do something different. It's more like old TF2/TFC than anything else.

Also, the lead dev is Jeff Kaplan, who did a lot with WoW, but used to be an EQ raider:

The art is so good, theyre going to be getting hundreds of dollars from so many gamers on day one for in game purchases like skins and loading screens and shit its crazy.

as in the boosts and double jumping as in CoD? No unless the character has it in their Kit.(ive seen 1 or 2 champs fly around etc. but not everyone can do it.

MOBAs are ruined by the player base. Everyone feels entitled to the better team every match, and will not control their anger until the match is over. So you end up in game where someone is actively pissed at a teammate (or worse, you) and is sabotaging the game with their childishness.

Once in awhile...not a big deal...but its like 75% of the games you play until you get good enough to get into a higher ELO, where people have learned it lowers your win rate to bitch your team out and throw a tantrum....it even happens there a good 10-20% of the time.

Riot started to improve things...then decided it wasn't worth it because they lose more of the shitheads I just described, than people like me.

Queue dodging is still bad. I queued up no less than 7 times last week because someone didn't like that the champ they wanted to play got banned (or hated their teammates for 101 possible reasons).

TF2 has changable weapons, leading to things like Huntsman sniper, demoknight, etc. That's basically what the classes do. Most only have one weapon and a couple skills.

That's a cute response and all, but there is a notable difference between the two experiences. I remember once some guy was duoing an alt with lost his shit on me because I wasn't really paying attention and aggrod an add. So I gated. That was the end of it. If it was a MOBA, Id have to sit there and deal with the son of a bitch for the next 10-30 mins. Not only that, but its a competitive environment when your patience is at its least.

Until they start banning people for talking shit mid game, they will never stop. When Riot was at its peak of tribunal enforcement, there was a noticeable decline in toxic attitudes.

Blizzard games, despite their efforts to be completely on rails and make any choice in the game/statistic as simple as possible still often fails in the balance / simplicity department. Did you see the death knight at WOTLK launch? Maybe that is less bearded lingo and you remember it :D.

The games are just too simple, cartoony and played out (WoW, D3, SC2... played these more than enough... heroes of the storm I got out of the base and killed a few units and a hero and left game never to return). Not to mention that lack of kill/death tracking in this game is god damned shameful.

I wish the team fortress 2 that I saw in PC gamer that became vapor ware actually came out, wonder why it didn't.

But these games aren't geared for people like me, so I probably shouldn't shit all over them. Kind of like someone who gets nightmares easy complaining about horror movies. It just ain't for me.
