Hello,
I apologize in advance as I am sure this has been asked 1,000 times. I read/searched the forums but most MAC install guides are years old and I am just not very internet/tech savvy anymore. I have a 2016 mac book pro and once I heard about this Project 99 I really wanted to relive those early EQ days when I knew computers. I do know that macs aren't for gaming but mine should be able to handle this game just fine. It is all over whelming as I have not played EQ since about 2004. I don't own any copies of the game anymore and don't even have a disk drive. My question is where can I get this EQ titanium for my machine so I can follow the steps listed in the guide? I saw I can buy it from amazon but will a windows game download to a mac? Any other options and help is greatly appreciated!
Thanks,
Nimblejim

Not sure what's wrong with the guide.
If you dont have the original CDs, cant get it from a friend, or find a torrent... I guess you could use this. Link will expire in a week from now. (http://pastebin.com/raw/AEBE2fsp)

much easier to follow guide http://www.project1999.com/forums/showthread.php?t=188396&highlight=macbook
whatever guide you use you still need an installed EQ folder, aka you must install on windows then copy/paste the eq directory to a usb drive and then to your mac
be careful tho it runs very hot and the only way to keep it somewhat cool is to overclock the fans which will eventually ruin them

You dont have to install it on Windows if you use something like the link I posted. Or have a friend zip their game directory and send it to you.
I've been copypasting the same install from machine to machine the last few years.

Use bootcamp to install windows 10 and restart into windows mode to run it. I play on an iMac and a Macbook Pro this way. It is also way better for steam.

If you're okay losing 30GB+ from how bloated the Windows footprint is...

Windows 10 is 11 GB. Most apple computers have more than enough space to create a 50GB windows partition to install steam games and everquest without having to emulate or use wine. The screens on apple's are great and I often recommend to people looking for a good windows laptop to buy a Macbook Pro. Nothing else comes close.

17GB here. It will continue to grow the longer you have it because Windows will keep ridiculous amounts of downloaded update data. Win 7 was roughly 30GB after a couple years.

Thank you all for the quick responses. Last night I decided to subscribe to a Daybreak all access account and was able to download and play EQ using crossover with 22 expansions downloaded. Will these files be ok to work in place of titanium if I follow the rest of the Mac instruction guide?

No, those files wont work.
I provided a download that works (with patching).

The step-by-step guides mentioned are pretty straightforward, but if you need further visuals/a soothing voice to show you the way, this video is very helpful: https://youtu.be/_xfNbEUVweM

That's good, but your guild tag is showing up below your name though which means it's not P99. And the MOTD is for Thunderdome.
Did you use us to help you get EQ set up for a different server?

This is not a real <Thunderdome> MOTD, just a coincidence.

It is my guild's private server that I develop, Works with p99 to just had no intentions to 2box to show.
