Ok, problem with Rogue epic Anson Mcbale

ok. well I finally get my parchment. off that stinking dwarf. so I run to HHK....there's a smuggler where Anson Mcbale is. so I keep killing it with my necro (that I had to run there) got Anson to spawn. Give him the pouch....nothing happens. So I run ALL the way back to Qeynos get anouther pouch, make sure I'm sneaking and behind him....give him the pouch...and still NOTHING. anyone else got this problem or not know what the solution is before I petition this?

Are you 50+? That part of the epic is just wrong here. Be 50+ rogue. Tell anson in say,"I need to see Stanos."

It'd better be important.

think the pouch part was removed when guise of the coercer quest was added, to make it easier to farm john stamos

Easiest way to get Stanos to spawn - say to Ansom "I need to speak with Stanos".

This will cause Stanos to spawn.

I heard a rumour that you had to be a rogue and 50+ for this to work, but I have never tried it on another char except my rogue. However I have had to help a couple of pre 50 rogue guildies spawn him.

I don't think it's ever worked. Malka's pouch and the pouch you get from Vilinus are probably flagged as different items here. Supposed to be the same and it's just one of many many loopholes the epic has that involve completely stupid steps for nothing, since there's 100% drops from easier alternatives. Just a badly scripted quest which woulda actually been pretty hard if it followed the proper progression.

tl;dr: Rogue epic on P99 has absolutely nothing to do with Qeynos. And you only need to see Vilinus if your General doesn't drop the Cazic Quill.

Steal notes. Spawn John Stamos. Give John Stamos notes.
Stamos note + 2 bottles of milk and 100p? to Eldreth. Give that note to Yendar.
Give THAT note (the one Yendar returns) + book of souls to Yendar to spawn Renux.
Kill Renux.
Give her translations to John Stamos. Get box. Spawn General. Cross fingers. Grats?
If not grats, do robe quest and grats.

They aren't retards. Just very very VERY hostile area to dark elves. Stanos has some history with the Teir'dal. As far as I know, say text triggers are working from sneak now. There was a period of time when they weren't. You can technically spawn him by being uninvis and saying the trigger while KOS to his face (I used to do this alot), but a bad tick before you hide will end poorly for you.

ok I'm lvl 55, and I use the "i need to speak to stanos" phrase...nothing happens. I am on red, but u don't get good answers from people on red. I see a lot of "yes ive done this" but has anyone done it recently?

I think it's, "I need to see Stanos." When I've done it for myself and others, I remember it not spawning until phrasing was exact.

Like alot of this thread is people saying the same things I said earlier, but shittier. Not you, Kayyte. But yeah.. just read what I (or Kayyte) wrote.

I need to see Stanos. Also, if you're a Dark Elf... You need to say trigger while sneaking behind him uninvis and be ready to mash hide when he turns. If that's still broken, god help you, Make a:

/do hide
'I need to see Stanos
/do hide

macro. Target him while invised and in his face (front side) hit macro when you're sure hide is off cool down and pray.
