I am from Michigan and the "pure" Michigan campaign deserves those spoof adds in my opinion.

1. because they are just funny.
2. because Michigan isn't all that great lol

Yes, this year's winter has been horrible. 80 degrees in December just means SUMMER IS GOING TO BE A HUNDRED MILLION DEGREES!

With so many warm states, why would anyone live in the north anymore?

With so many warm states, why would anyone live in the north anymore?

Because we like the cold, the snow and skiing/snowboarding? :)

I for one love the snow, and downstate Michigan doesn't even get that much of it. People in Detroit think it snows a lot there but they get maybe a couple of feet a year. I lived in the Jackson area for most of my life and some years it didn't even snow until close to Christmas.

The place I currently live is awesome (http://www.weather.com/outlook/weather-news/news/articles/snowiest-cities-top-10_2010-12-07?page=9), there's usually at least a foot on the ground by November and the ski hills open in Late December and run through March. As I type this we've got 54.5 inches of snow this season and it's 6 degrees out. Perfect weather! :D

I've never seen or dealt with snow personally, and I never care to.

I love 70 degree Christmases here in Florida :)

I live here in MI. We don't get a lot of snow compared to our UP cousins. But we do drive a lot more than them, so it's a big deal when your commute went from 25 minutes, to 2 hours. So suck it UP!

We MI'ers love the Pure Michigan Spoofs. The Royal Oak one is so true(I live there but am not a douche)

I moved back to Minnesota from San Francisco in October. Minnesota features:

no homeless begging for change,
no South Americans pissing in the street,
no hippie kids camping in the park,
no corrupt public unions fucking up everything from street fairs to bus lines,
no East Bay thugs shooting random people,
no dog shit on every block,
no smell of urine every hundred feet,
no decaying ghetto for crazy junkies.

Take a picture of the white trash shithole where you actually live, Hasbinbad. No one believes for a minute that you live in that postcard of wine country.

Edit: I take that back. I looked at Google Maps. Your parents have a pretty nice house.

I live in the north because there is no city better than Chicago in the summer, imo. 4 months of hell is worth the perfect summer.

I remember what it was like living down state and having a 25min commute to and from school. For 6 months I was actually driving back and forth to work from Ann Arbor to Jackson and that was a hefty 50-55minute 90 mile drive.

No idea wtf I or anyone else who makes that sort of commute daily is thinking. I love my 3 mile commute to work. :)

Way back when, I was going to high school about 6 miles from my parents' house. That was about 1.5 hours each way. Fun.

At that temp the wind is fairly calm and usually drops the air temp another 5 to 10c at the most. A couple hundred km north at the treeline the wind can get a lot fiercer though.
