4.4. You may not have more than one client running per real life person playing on Project 1999 (Boxing).

There is no 'boxing' on Project 1999 servers. Boxing is defined as having more than one client running from a single computer, or having more than one client running per person in the same household on different computers. Project 1999 has an IP block on its servers to prevent players from boxing. You may apply for an IP exemption if you have more than one person in your household wanting to play by following the instructions on this forum:

Violation of this rule will result in disciplinary action, and you may lose the account(s) involved.

The exception to this rule is having one client running for Project 1999 Red PvP as well as one for Project 1999 Blue. This is allowed.

It takes some time to get the unlock as well, so be prepared. My friends have quit hanging out at my house and staying home so we can play together. :(

You can make a post in the petitions section about an IP exemption. Be sure to follow their format and don't bug them afterwards. Just wait. It can take a few days, or a few weeks...but they will get back to you on it.
Until then, you can play on a mobile hotspot. It doesn't require much data to play EQ.

I would suggest taking her out to play. It's more special if you make an event out of it and playing anywhere outside the home has something adventurous about it! It probably has something to do with the thrill of being caught! Just don't actually get caught, that might ruin things. On the flip side, it would be a story to tell! Good luck!

You know I get that people are idiots and try to box, but Swish that shit gets old. I too am waiting for an exemption. My WIFE is playing right now with two of our friends while I sit here waiting for two weeks.

I'm not boxing, we loathed the boxers in live. We all played together from 1999-2004 and we wanted some nostalgia.

I'm so sorry if you're so jaded and hurt by some people boxing, but not everyone is trying to scam the system. MANY of us just want to play together with a loved one.

Not everyone is trying to jip the system in fact i have ran into several people that have also told me they are waiting for ip exempts For family members in there household(possible monthly payers if happy?) I am paying monthly to play this game and plan to until it basically shuts down if such a thing will happen.Its more annoying than anything when you have the pcs but the people who want to play with each other cant at the same time.An you know how ur eq time gets( or any thing u play on your computer) Arguments can start an children wine,jus wish theyd hurry up its one thing if im not paying.But I am.Monthly sub. I too am new to p99. My wife and I are wanting to play together. Her and I actually met on EQ 15 years ago. We want to play as this game was a very special thing for us. For now, her and I are just taking turns, or I am hot spotting my phone. Unfortunately my cell signal is horrible at my house, so I get disconnected from time to time, lol.

You can request an ip exemption but be warned don't be waiting actively for it some folks are posting wait times of a few weeks up to half of a year for it to go through
