gotta see a pic, that sounds incredibly dangerous especially at that weight lol. like how can your body properly work with such low fat percent at that weight?

That's where I cruised for a year or two, At 260ish 10% but my body was having trouble with gas tank despite lance Armstrong level hemaocrit and hemoglobin. 250 tends to be my in-season plateau.

I just couldn't get enough oxygen to comfortably go up a few flights of stairs without sucking heavy wind. I think my next run I'll shoot for 240 and just work on conditioning.

except I have labs to prove everything I just said? u want me to find it and post it? I can probably dig it up. Hematocrit 53% (high red cell saturation, anything over 45% is considered a health risk. Doctor recommended donating blood regularly to avoid stroke/cardiac arrest). Hemoglobin was at 18.0 (maximum range), and no gas tank to match the numbers. Im not a fucking doctor pal, I have no idea why I couldn't breathe after any endurance activity despite my blood oxygen carrying capacity being legit.

If I had to guess, I'd say I have a lung problem. Trouble getting oxygen in, or with oxygen transport. I'd be fucking heaving, hunched over, and telling my college bud to "wait give me 5 minutes" after 3 flights when going to a party.

don't expect lifetime desk jockeys and basement runners to understand what im talking about.

He didn't sell out to the edumacation industry. He's not over-qualified with some academic degree for some of the actual good paying service jobs that exist. It's getting to the point where a plumber can make more than a doctor with all their school debt and malpractice insurance rates here. The gov is making big monies off of dolts. Go to college? learn either something you can do on your own (not that GOV rewards small business vs corporatism), learn social worker garbage (so fail), or learn lawyer so you can raise lawsuit after lawsuit after lawsuit after lawsuit (I'd like to drown).

From prison guard to middle management, what inspired the career change? Was it because you were choking out inmates? Get caught using steroids?

RBC's are made in the bone marrow in response to several stimuli, including chronic hypoxia. Hematocrit alone is not a meaningful indicator of cardiovascular fitness, it doesn't make sense to say "My hematocrit is high so I should be able to go up stairs". Getting winded from light exertion like going up stairs and elevated hematocrit are both symptoms of COPD or impaired heart function. Were you a smoker? Were you on anabolic steroids? It's also possible you are just very out of shape and happen to have elevated hematocrit from any number of possible causes.

This in particular:

I'd be fucking heaving, hunched over, and telling my college bud to "wait give me 5 minutes" after 3 flights when going to a party.

Is a telltale symptom of COPD or congestive heart failure if it's really as severe as you say it is (fat people get this too just by being fat); if your doctor doesn't know about it, make sure he does.

COPD as a result of untreated low grade exercise-induced asthma for years on end, entirely possible. I have allergies and psoriasis (systemic inflammation) so can't rule out pleurisy either as I get older.

I think I am just not built for that size, and the reminder of pulmonary hypertension and pulmonary issues in general with that much size (heart as you said) is probably enough to lower my sights and make some big changes...

I'm 31 later this year. Doubt I'll be back into powerbuilding like Nocsucow. Time to take a faggier approach and take a downgrade in hardcore title, such as "fitness enthusiast". I used to make fun of these kinds of people and even hold them in contempt for not wanting to get as functionally huge as possible.

Not so funny anymore I guess. The more I thought about it, the more I realized that's way too much choking and heaving. Any type of endurance activity that didn't require an explosion was impossible without sucking heavy wind.

My 400 pound fat ass Native American friend was out-walking me in Boston to a game. I should have taken the hint then.

Lol I half assed my meals and was getting 2 quarter pounders from McDonald's every night post workout slugging down a large sprite. probably another reason I had one foot in the morgue.

Flex Wheeler said he ate a lot of McDonald's while getting in shape for shows n that their meals had good caloric balance. I really bought into it in my early 20's.

Sorry for the double post, I'm just now getting thru the fairy tale you wrote for your birthday.

Just to get this straight, you were a prison guard, then a cop(99% of which require atleast an AA), and now you're a superintentant of a HVAC company, a husband, a father, coach multiple sports teams year round, weight lift competitively, own 2 houses, have no debt, and already know you're gonna be making $300k in 2 years all with only a high school diploma.

I don't weight lift competitively , I have debt ... just not student loan. i have been married for 8 1/2 years, I coach my daughter's soft ball team , her fall ball team and her basketball team... as soon as basketball is done , softball starts right back up. ( I coach all year ) I'm still a reserve officer of my county , ( I do it for the commissions card) , and my title is actually Lead Forman and it's over HVAC and Plumbing projects my company has over 1000 employees and did away with the whole "Superintendent" title. but yes I say 2 years .... 3 years tops I will take a project manager position that pays very well.. sorry if my simple everyday life angers you.. but life is good ,
